Indian Mountain Homestead is a modern, working Off-Grid Homestead located in the mountains just SW of Denver. A perfect place for some Forest Bathing & some much needed R & R! About 45 min outside of Denver and 1 hr 30 min from Denver International Airport. Learn more about this land: Enjoy a unique private mountain getaway! Stay in our Off-Grid Greenhouse. Sleep amongst the plants and under the stars! Or enjoy a luxurious stay in the Aspens in our Glamping Tent. Located on a private, forested area of our modern, Off-Grid working homestead. This site offers you mountaintop views, plenty of aspens as well as pine trees and abundant wildlife passing through. Leave the noise of the city behind and wake up to birds singing, hummingbirds buzzing by and potentially a moose or deer sighting. Oh and quite possibly our rooster crowing ;) Hike into the National Forest off the property. Guided hikes can also be arranged for an additional fee. Or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet! Plenty of other hiking trails nearby, creeks and Slaughterhouse Gulch for those that love a good 4WD adventure. A propane fire-pit will be provided for you so you can still enjoy a nice campfire.  A propane heater is also available for chilly nights or winter camping.  The Greenhouse also includes a camp stove, a percolator for making coffee or tea, minimal cookware and silverware. Potable water will be provided along with coffee and tea. Fresh eggs from our chickens can also be made available upon request for a small fee. Cots and a hammock are available for use in the Greenhouse, but you will have to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags and pillows. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors. The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included. A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon). Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command. There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow). Feel free to message us with any questions you may have! **4WD or higher clearance AWD vehicles can make it up to the property.  We can also provide shuttle service in one of our 4WD vehicles at no additional charge.  Either way, we will meet and greet you at the entrance to Deer Creek Campground :)**

Glamping in the Aspens
Exactly what the soul needs
Where do I start!? Annette & Patrick are amazing! The tent glamping site is done so perfectly, down to the cutest details with night lamps and really cute table coverings. It’s definitely what my soul needed for a break from humans and WIFI. :) Annette & Patrick went above and beyond with their host duties. I wasn’t comfortable going up the last bit of road to the tent because it’s steep. I do have a 4 runner which is completely capable, I’m just not comfortable in my driving ability. They helped get me and my pup up and then back down. They truly love their little piece of heaven and I’m glad they’re sharing it!!! Thank you for a fabulous night away!

Glamping in the Aspens
We had a really great time at Patrick & Annette's hip camp. They have thought of everything from a gas fire pit to bug repellant. We will be back!

Glamping in the Aspens
A true gem
This was an unforgettable stay. Annette was so kind and accommodating. All of the things you would need for an off-the-grid stay are there and if you have to go grab a few things from the nearest store, you can’t beat the scenic drive. What a treasure. 10/10.

Glamping in the Aspens
Amazing Hosts!
Patrick and Annette were wonderful hosts! They met us at the end of the property and took us up a rocky road to the site. You’ll definitely want a good 4WD car or truck to get there. But everything you needed was in the tent, it was cozy and relaxing. They also gave us fresh chicken eggs! I’d highly recommend staying here and would do it again!

Glamping in the Aspens
A Must Visit
This site is Incredible. Anything you could imagine is included from proposed, pots, pans, a grill, etc: Hospitality was exceptional, communication was prompt and directions were concise. The road is definitely tough to reach the site, but I made it in my Subaru. 10/10 will visit again.

Off-Grid Greenhouse
Stunning views & cozy greenhouse!
Annette & her family have a truly special place here! And her hospitality went above and beyond! Small walks on the property led to endless amounts of beautiful Mountain View’s in all directions, lush aspen groves & wildlife watching. Sleeping in the green house was cozy & tranquil. We fell asleep to peaceful raindrops and woke to a beautiful clear sunrise! The greenhouse was packed with everything we needed to cook our food (stove/cups/plate/silverware/spatula/water). This spot was a perfect getaway to unwind! We kept entertained by the simple beauty of nature the whole time while having the luxury of warm shelter & cozy cots!
