We loved everything about staying here! Chris was so friendly and welcoming. His land is beautiful and the large African tent we stayed in was spacious! He had all “kitchen” items on hand for us to grill sausages that we purchased at the local distillery (shout out to Dune Valley Distillery!) on his recommendation. They were delicious! We definitely want to go back!

Stars and privacy

This is an amazing high desert site. We were the only ones there so we had complete privacy and the quietness of the area was very evident. The dark sky area meant the stars were phenomenal. The hot water shower had plentiful hot water and the bathroom has flush toilets. There is a cantina with cooking supplies, if you need them. Incredible sunrise and sunset!

The hospitality is amazing, and the camp spots were delightful! We enjoyed the stargazing, and the helpful cantina in the morning. If you are looking for a rough it-or glamping experience-, you can’t go wrong!

A perfect experience

Such a fantastic location - views, natural landscape - and creature comforts if you need. We would recommend either tent camping, pulling up your RV or booking one of the glamping sites. There’s loads of space between, privacy and connection with the land.

Gorgeous views and a peaceful stay

Perrin met us at the gate to make sure we knew where everything was and how to use it. It's a 5-mile drive on an unpaved road to get there, but you are rewarded with gorgeous views. We could see the sand dunes and the mountains from our campsite. It was nice to be able to use the communal grill and covered picnic area. It was a quick drive from the site to Zapata Falls and the national park. The campground was peaceful and quiet, and the star gazing is amazing. I'm so glad we got to experience camping here.

Love this camping area!
Chris was a great host. Our campsite was private and allowed for stargazing and soaking in the beautiful views! Great proximity to area attractions. We'll be back!
