We are in a wonderful area to use as a hub for so many amazing activities. We are located on 7 acres of land with the most amazing sunrises to the east and two the west we have Pikes Peak. This is a wonderful place to sit and relax, it is very quiet. At some points durning the month the Milky way is wonderful. We may or may not have our sunflower field as well depending the time of the year. We may also offer different art and craft type of experiences.
Host (Jenn) was responsive and kind, the site was as described with a couple exceptions. There may be seven acres but the ground is not flat and from what I experienced you will likely camp alongside the residence amongst some older vehicles (travel trailer and boat). I wouldn’t describe this as a camp, it’s more like crashing in a friend’s yard but I’m glad it’s available and on short notice. Gave me a safe place to get some rest while heading north. Thank you Jenn!
I wasn’t sure I’d be able to make it back to the camping area on the bluff with my little tiny trailer, but it was fine. Sunsets are gorgeous. There are no shade spots so bring something for shade.
A little noisy from I 25 traffic at night, but you can also hear goats and chickens and the stars were beautiful
My husband and I enjoyed a peaceful escape from city life this weekend. Only a short 1.5 hour drive from Denver, and easy to access with our 2wd vehicle. Upon arrival we were greeted in person, and told we could set up our tent anywhere and drive right up to the site. We set up on the hill with an amazing view of the mountains. It did get quite windy around sunset, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the view. The wind calmed down in time for the moonrise - a full strawberry moon for the first day of summer. We could hear some faraway traffic noise from i25, but had a restful sleep, and woke up to the sunrise. Highlights of our stay were the ease of access, amazing skies, and the firing range which we were able to use for a $20/person fee. We look forward to camping here again soon!
Great night tent camping on Jenn’s property. The views are gorgeous, we were treated to a beautiful rainbow from the passing storms. It was super windy up on the hill so make sure you have all your tent stakes and guy lines! We had to position the truck to block most of the wind and then tie the tent off firmly to the truck as well.
Jenn wasn’t available to check us in but her communication was outstanding. Directions were good and there was someone there (Shaggy was great!) to great us when we arrived.
Only thing was that the site was noisier than I thought. The highway is kinda close and you can definitely hear it. There was a train running semi-regularly as well that kept blowing its horn. Overall it didn’t keep us up and we slept very well. Great spot to camp for the night!
Enjoyed this simple and quiet spot. This was a great place to stop and rest for the night, hosts were very friendly and greeted me when I arrived. The site is not far from the freeway, yet is quiet enough to sleep and enjoy the beautiful sunsets the front range has to provide.
The campsite had a very beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay! Directions were very straight forward and host was very responsive!
