Arapaho Valley Ranch is a gorgeous, family-owned guest ranch in Colorado’s beautiful Grand County. Our ranch is surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and is nestled in one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. This area features hiking trails, waterfalls, and historic steam engines from the old town of Monarch. We have a private hiking trail that leads to our “kissing swing” overlooking the headwaters of the Colorado River Valley.

Beautiful Property
Arapaho Valley Ranch is a beautiful property. We ended up staying in a larger tent so that we could bring our dogs. It’s nice that they provide so many basics and the tent had plenty of room for our family of 4 and our 2 dogs. The views were amazing.

So peaceful!
This was an amazing campsite! The site was surrounded by trees and had amazing views of the lake while walking around the grounds. Will definitely come back here soon!

Awesome Stay!
We had an awesome stay in Glamping Tent 1! Truly everything was provided for our stay, we just needed to bring food. We loved hiking and canoeing, and the wood stove in the tent was perfect for keeping us warm at night. We will be back soon!

Leaves much to be desired
I really wanted to like this place. The ranch texted us before arrival asking for an ETA which we provided, and then responded saying the lodge would be closed and no one would be available to check us in or show us to our site. Our arrival was within their check-in window so it was unfortunate we then had to figure out where everything was ourselves. The campsites are also a lot closer together than they seemed, with a site being right next to ours, though on the map it shows a huge distance between site 21 and ours. The site across from ours was incredibly loud the entire time we were there and we ended up leaving early because of it. All in all, it wasn’t the relaxing, private campsite we were advertised.

This was my first solo camping experience and had such an amazing time! Easy to find, felt safe in the sense there were campers close by, and absolutely STUNNING location. The bathrooms were nice, many close hiking trails, and the river a few steps away. Such a great spot! Will be visiting again!
