A-Lodge Boulder is a 30 room lodge just 2 miles above downtown Boulder, Colorado. We are located in a wilderness area of Boulder Canyon, right at the junction with Fourmile Canyon. We have three #vanlife sites and four tentsites for offer on Hipcamp. We have a hot tub [CURRENTLY DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE 05/02-05/15], grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from our property. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion! Tent sites are just a short walk, about 100 feet, up to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc. Our guests love us too! "First time Hipcamper and A-Lodge visitor here, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re traveling to the Boulder area. The tent platforms were easy to get to and spaced far enough apart for privacy and generally a nice break from setting up a tent on a gravel pad. WiFi was stable throughout my visit and I was able to get some work done before heading home."

Lovely Escape
This camping spot was incredible. The views and area were nice. The amenities were unbeatable for a camp site. Showers, toilets, drinking water, hot tub, towels, and coffee/tea in the lobby each morning. The hot tub had nice lights and great views, and was so nice after a day of hiking. I would definitely come camp here again. Close enough to so many different activities, especially if you don't mind driving a bit. We used it as a hub to Boulder, Denver, and Rocky Mountain NP.

Camping at A-Lodge
My second trip to A-lodge. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Tenting is on platforms, so you need to be prepped to tie your tent down to eye-bolts attached to the platform. It gets windy there sometimes, so you’ll want your tent secured to the platform. It’s a short, but steep hike up to the platforms. Short drive into Boulder.

Tent Site 3
Probably would give 3 - maybe 4 stars - was switched to tent site one - glad I showed up the next day as site was given to someone else. Would have been very awkward to arrive at 1am and spot taken and office closed. Plus nothing saying tent camping this way. Was a trail head sign - which was extremely confusing. Glad I didn't arrive at 2am. Office needs printable maps. Definitely don't recommend camping after a Ironman event. Definitely a very steep dangerous climb to tent site and dangerous decent. Crashed multiple times:-( or almost lost my balance stepping down the extremly steep parts. Beautiful view but weather made it not much to do. Pool was colder then the creek and boulder reservoir. And hot tub wasn't what I was expecting. Cover was left on and guest were expected to lift it off (extremely heavy)and replace afterwards. :-( plus was extremely small shoved into a tiny room - no space for anything-plus made for people that are extremely tall - need some better steps to get in it - used once before Ironman. No way I could have used it after. One shower which was very disappointing - trying to get in to use that shower wasn't even worth the wait - used once before Ironman. :-( And had to wait tell after 10pm :-( Beautiful view and extremely quiet- wish weather was better and maybe could have enjoyed some more hikes. Semi close to town but not close enough to walk to anything. No phone signal but awesome wifi. Overall- I enjoyed my stay. Was very relaxing.

Car Camping Site 1
Great spot to crash for a night or two. Very close to Boulder. Falling asleep to the sound of the creek was incredible. Very nice staff and I'd definitely stay again, when passing through.

Car Camping Site 3
Cute spot! Car campsite had a platform alongside the spot and communal fire pit. The lodge had a small bar with a few options. The lodge was also set by a gorgeous little creek - beautiful!
