We are on 6+ acres surrounded by pine trees, scrub oak and a few valley oak. You'll be next to a beautiful vineyard and can walk a short way up the hill to "View Forever Lane" and...well...view forever! We have goats on the property. All are friendly, in a goat kind of way. No, they don't do yoga! We moved here about 12 years ago and have welcomed others on the land since we arrived. We also have a few dog runs and are building a doggie obstacle course we use for dog training. Keep your eye out as our land develops. Learn more about this land: Come play in the Sierra Foothills! We're on 6 acres with moderate privacy. The yurt is a glamping experience. You'll have a full, 100% private, bathroom located in the main house just a short walk from the yurt. There is a limited camp kitchen that includes coffee maker, toaster and hot water boiler, with the opportunity to rent our camp kitchen kit if you do not want to bring your own items for cooking. We have ponderosa pines, scrub oak and a few valley oak on the property. We also have goats that you are welcome to visit. You will be close to hiking, biking trails, lakes and only an hour from Lake Tahoe. There is no lack of activities. We are also located right next door to a vineyard that, after a short walk, allows views of the entire Sierra Foothills to the Mountains and down to the valley. Campfires allowed

Firepit, wood burning fireplace. Due to HIGH fire danger, the outdoor fire pit is ONLY available during winter and spring, or if we have a wet Fall. The wood burning stove (not a fireplace) will keep you cozy and warm in winter when we do not have the fire ban in effect.

Toilet available

Flush toilet, portable toilet. You have access to a flush toilet in the main house (100% private bathroom) and there is a portable toilet in the yurt if you prefer the full camping experience. You will need to empty and clean the portable toilet on leaving if you choose to use it.

Pets allowed

Off leash, on leash. Well-behaved pets on leash or under voice control are welcome. There are fox and raccoons and predator birds so please keep an eye on the small pets. If larger wildlife (coyote, mountain lion and bear) have been spotted close to your stay, we'll let you know. It is common to have them around.

Potable water available

Spigot, tap, hose, pump or well, bottled water or jugs. You'll have access to a full indoor private bathroom with water for hot showers, bath and flush toilet. There is a foot pump sink in the yurt that also has drinkable water. The outdoor camp kitchen has a sink for you to wash dishes.

Showers available

Hot water , cold water only. You have access to a full indoor bathroom, 100% private, just a short walk from the yurt. There is hot water for showers and regular bathroom needs. Cold water is available at the yurt in the outdoor kitchen and indoor footpump sink.

Bins available

Recycling bin, trash bin. Your garbage and recycling can be emptied into the main house bins during your stay.

Cooking equipment present

Bbq, private, dishware, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. There is a basic outdoor camp kitchen with a propane BBQ and BBQ utensils. There is a dishwashing sink outside. The indoor sink is only good for brushing teeth, washing hands or filling a water bottle. In the yurt is also a toaster, hot water boiler and pour over coffee maker (coffee provided). You can bring your own camp kitchen items OR rent our camp kitchen kit for $25. That includes a 2 burner propane stove, assorted pots and pans, mixing bowls, cooking utensils and other needed items. If camp cooking is new to you, we also have some of our favorite camping recipes to share.

You can bring your own camp cooking equipment. But if you don't want the hassle, or simply don't own any, you can rent the Camp Kitchen Kit. It includes: 2 burner propane stove Pots and Pans (2 Qt Saucepan, 4 Qt Saute Pan, 5 Qt dutch oven with lid and stainless steel steamer, 10 in griddle, 8 in and 10 in fry pans) Mixing bowls Measuring cups and spoons Assortment of cooking utensils (spatulas, tongs, whisk, etc) Cheese grater Trivets We'll set it all up for you. We also include some easy camp cooking recipes if it's new to you to cook outdoors. There are limited kitchen items already available at no charge including a toaster, hot water boiler, coffee maker (with coffee) and basic eating plates and utensils.

With pets

Comfortable beds, Nice and private. Heated up real well in the chilly winter weather. Goats were very cute and well behaved. Great Spot!
