Located on the John Muir Historic route to Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Westlake Campground and RV Park is convenient to all things Yosemite. Between here and the park is Rainbow Pool, a well-known swimming hole that campers here often visit on their way back to the campground for a refreshing dip in the cool waters. Coulterville was started as a gold-rush town. You can visit the museum and visitor center even try your hand at panning for gold.

Great campground with a great host

This is a great campground with a great host. Our luggage got lost when flying into SFO. Mac received the FedEx shipment and stored it while we were hiking in Yosemite. He also had lots of recommendations for us. Thank you so much, Mac. However, you should be aware that it’s quite a distance to Yosemite Valley. The ride took us 90 minutes off season. That’s the only reason why we have mixed feelings about a recommendation to friends as they would most likely be visiting Yosemite.

Great campsite, beautiful location and easy to find! The area was quiet, and the bathrooms were clean, which we really appreciated. It was also super convenient to have a designated space for washing dishes. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Would definitely stay here again!

Good camping. In fact doesn't exist a right spot. I reserved the spot number 4 but when I got there was told me I could to choose. Mostly spot is under the sun with no shadow, so.... The bathroom are very clean and pretty decent! Very good shower!

I did tent camping and I’d like to think we got lucky with our campsite location! It was right behind J. Secluded but not enough to feel lonely! The hosts were wonderful and showed us different locations in Yosemite that are a must for first timers. Hosts were also very accommodating. Restrooms were clean, with two toilet stalls and two shower stalls. Behind the restrooms is a stainless steal sink where they offer cooking utensils and pots if needed. Campsite is about 45 minutes to an hour away from Yosemite. I would highly recommend taking YARTS from Buck Meadows location! Overall, me and my friend enjoyed our stay at this campsite! Hope to be back sometime.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The campground is about the size of a football field in total! You are right on top of each other. There is ZERO WiFi and the camp grounds manager is VERY rude if he communicates at all. The bathrooms are disgusting, the porta potty is gross as well. You are within arms reach of a mobile home park also. There is zero room for a camp fire and only a few tent sites had fire pits. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.
