Werewolf Ranch is a 35 acre permaculture homestead raising sheep, goats, ducks, and chickens in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Located on the historic Wolf Creek, the property offers rolling oak savannah landscapes and an abundance of wildlife diversity. Swim with river otters or watch the woodpeckers gather acorns while splashing in the creek. Also, get a taste of ranch life and meet our sheep and goats- they've got lots of personality!
The land has quite a history. Wander the hills and you will see ancient acorn grinding holes in the rock out-croppings, or take your chances looking for a bit of gold in wolf creek, one of the first spots gold was found in California. Throughout the last 50 years though, this was cattle country- that was severely over-grazed....That's why we are using regenerative agricultural practices to restore the soil and promote biodiversity. Right before Dylan and I moved in ,at the beginning of 2015, Werewolf Ranch was a montessori school! Now the old classroom is a sheep barn!
