Welcome to Waterfall Camp. Come enjoy your stay with us on our beautiful 5-acre property centrally located, its only 10 min to the village of Mendocino, 5 minute drive to Caspar beach and 10 min to the town of Fort Bragg. Nestled on the edge of the Redwoods and Pygmy Forest, adjacent to Russian Gulch State Park. The property has private access into park which consists of many miles of beautiful Redwood trails,the trail to the waterfall, biking trails along with a trail that leads straight to the ocean. Come and relax around your private campfire and cook over the open flames or treat yourself to fine dining in Mendocino or Fort Bragg, the experience is at your fingertips. From camping under the stars to hiking and biking through the redwoods or kayaking up Big River, come let the Mendocino coast show you what it’s all about. Our goal is to make you feel right at home. Each of our three sites has a redwood deck with a sink and food prep space, potable water, remote solar lighting, picnic table, smokeless fire pit and grill, firewood, level parking area and tent pad. One of the three sites can accommodate a 25’ trailer. There is a beautiful redwood bathhouse with two outdoor showers and two flushing toilets. All water onsite is potable so make sure to top off before your day of adventuring. There is a horseshoe pit, cornhole, and badminton set for fun under the sun. All sites are a two min walk to the State Park trails and 5 min ride to Jackson state forest bike trails. It's about a half hour walk to the beautiful waterfall from our property. Large Groups are welcome to book all three sites with two additional RV locations. Also we have a fully stocked westfalia camper van to glamp in if your wanting to pack light for the weekend. #3 - StarGazer

Camping Under the Stars

This was our first time at Stargazer and our first camping trip with our very young children. The site and setting were beautiful and had lots of accommodating features to the extent you want some nature with a few amenities, like running water! One of the best parts was being welcomed by our very warm hosts, who are genuinely good people and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Very cool, highly recommend.

#1 - Wildwood

Great stay!

Great, quiet stay! Most everything needed was provided including chairs, blankets, a smokeless fire pit with grill, picnic table, and well-stocked firewood and kindling, soap, sink, and even a dog bowl. We stayed in Camp #1 Wildwood, which felt fairly private. Note that the surrounding trails in the state park are not dog friendly and the flushing toilets do not have doors, just shower curtains. WiFi was intermittent - ok for casual use but not sufficient for working/video calls. But we had good service on our Starlink.

#2 - Pygmy Grove

Sweet!

Another fantastic stay at Shay and Liz’s. We love to stay here due to its proximity to Jackson Demonstration Forest and its prime mountain bike trails. The camp was clean and well thought through. Picked blackberries and huckleberries and even played a few rounds of badminton. Having access to showers and a source of Wi-Fi are total bonus. We have Verizon and had one weak bar.

#1 - Wildwood

Truly a hidden gem! The location is quiet and beautiful. Shay and Liz are incredibly thoughtful and really think about the little things when it comes to camping. I stayed with three other people and our dog and it was absolutely so much fun!! I wish we were able to stay more than one night. My boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back with his girls because it’s also extremely kid friendly. The waterfall hike was amazing as well and gorgeous! I can’t imagine what it’s like when the water is full. Shay greeted us at the campsite and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay on your wonderful property!

The property was wonderful! There was an area for my son to play, shay met our family as we drove up and gave us recommendations on what to see and where to go in the area. The waterfall hike was beautiful. We will definitely be back!
