A Russian River Rustic and Very Private Retreat. This 1 1/2 acre Paradise that many of our friends call An Adult Disneyland is a magical place to visit. Each of our areas, whether for entertaining or residing, has its own theme and is decorated with care. Each of the listings has it's own private deck or patio and then you have access to all of the common areas on the property We promise you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are minutes from everything. Lulu’s Landing and Captain Wack’s Cove is a pirate-themed Creekside hangout, where you can enjoy a fire, except during banned season. Also a great place to capture a glimpse of the numerous critters that cruise our creek. Foxes, Deer, Squirrels, Otters, Ducks and Herons as well as numerous songbirds that feed from our bird feeder. Lulu’s Lanai is a Flamingo-themed outdoor living room and dining area with fun vintage furniture and décor. The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends! The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar. We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions. There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike to enjoy the majestic beauties. Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere! During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past. We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. Guerneville is a quick 4 mile drive and has a Safeway and many restaurants and quaint shops too. Adults of 21 years or older only please. TOT#4440N

Cozy Cabin
Cozy Indeed!
Lynda and Rich are lovely people and excellent hosts of their beautiful slice of riverside redwood forest. Upon arrival we were welcomed in and got a thorough orientation of the cabin and grounds' amenities and necessities. Rich even left us some freshly pressed apple juice straight from their tree and set up the fire ring for quick and easy lounging around it. Lynda shared fresh herbs from her garden to add to our home cooked feast that were the perfect, fresh touch. Lots of love for the generosity! They were very easy going about our coming and going and good communicators as well. The outdoor kitchen, bar, and lounge spaces under the trees and bamboo were both comfy and fun to look at--this place is decorated inside and out with kitschy art, much homemade by our fun hosts. Good star gazing spot also. The bed in the cabin was very comfortable and warm (nice touch with the heating pads under the sheets I've got to adopt that practice at home!). The kitchenette was amply stocked. The outdoor dining table on the cabin porch was a lovely place to have a meal and drink. Wish we had more time to really dig in to all of the amenities, including the hot tub which looked inviting and clean. I'd love to come back with a few more friends and stick around longer next time. The location is in walking distance from Monte Rio beach and the town theater. This river rat gives the Wackalulu's an A+ for style, graceful hosting, comfort, glamping to the next level!

The Boathouse
The Best Time!
We had a wonderful three day weekend at this unique and beautiful property. We had the opportunity to stay at both the cabin and the boathouse, each one offering its own aesthetic and charm. The grounds were very well kept, and it truly felt like an escape for us. Our hosts, Lynda Lu and Rich (and doggie Bogey!) were exceptionally gracious and we had such a nice time visiting with them. Thanks for the wonderful memories. We will be back!

First time using HipCamp and it was incredible, this place and it’s hosts were outstanding in every regard. Place is secluded yet has access to the nearby attractions. Can’t wait to return.

The Boathouse
A scenic, unique getaway
If you are looking for a unique space surrounded by trees, quiet nature and a beautiful water brook just foot steps away. then this is your destination! We were amazed that our stay was so cozy and truly felt like we were in another world! Coming from the hustle and bustle of the city, we were able to enjoy the stars, nearby beaches and explore the shops near by. It was such a nice retreat away from our busy lives we immediately missed it after leaving. So grateful to our caring hosts who also gave us organic applecider and were overall extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time away and definitely would recommend to others!

The Boathouse
The perfect glamping getaway
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this property. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the serene beauty of the surroundings. The site was thoughtfully laid out, offering just the right balance of privacy and access to the natural wonders around us. The amenities provided were top-notch and exactly what we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated all of the attention to detail including the wack shack. The host was incredibly hospitable and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic, close to Lightwave, a short drive to Guernville and shell beach. Whether you’re looking to unwind in a peaceful setting or explore the outdoors, this site has it all. We can’t recommend this spot enough and will definitely be returning for another stay.
