Disclaimer: this is not a state park campground or an Airbnb, this is an off grid Homestead and I have lots of junk lying around such as tools, materials, equipment, etc., if this is not your style, please do not book. The directions provided by Hipcamp are not accurate. Please contact me the day before your listing and I will provide directions. 12 Acres in the Redwoods. Creekside. We have a private driveway with lots of secluded Space. lots of chickens usually an endless supply of eggs for breakfast. Small campfires available. Cabin renters have access to Hot showers, wood-burning stove, kitchen amenities and running water. Porta potty only The cabins are located Away from our living area. Main cabin is overlooking the creek and the tent sites, creekside cabin is down near the swimming hole and tent sites. Tent sites are located next to the creek or up near the community fire pit. This is our home, it is private, eclectic and filled with natural beauty. That being said, it is by no means pristine. We have the occasional junk pile like most off grid homesteaders do. We do not throw out some things that others would. We try to find a use for old and weathered equipment and materials. Our cabin is built completely with recycled and reclaimed materials. Like I said, we do not like to waste anything, so you may notice a few parts and pieces laying around.

We had a great time here. Cooling off in the creek, lounging under the redwoods, enjoying the chickens and turkeys. I'd go back again.

Lovely little property!
We had a wonderful time staying at shit creek! We visited with a group of 12 people for a birthday, and had a great bbq and enjoyed sitting around the fire. There is a beautiful creek to swim in, and the chickens and hosts are very friendly. And the trees are gorgeous! Just double check with your hosts about how many beds are available in the cabins as the listing isn’t completely up to date

Main Cabin
Has absolutely everything you need and more. My husband and I are engineers in Silicon Valley and desperately needed a getaway. The main cabin isn’t a secluded campsite but it was honestly perfect for us and our two dogs. Thor was extremely friendly and welcoming! Nice creek down the hill where you can go for a swim. Place has grills for food and a nice atmosphere overall.

down by the creek is beautiful and the cabins look lovely but the grounds are like a junkyard, they really should clean it up. Also, the owner couldn't control his dog and it bit my kids a couple times. If you go there, look for sunglasses down next to the less steep hill in the bushes, I lost my favorite sunglasses while I slipped down the hill to the campsite.

Great first time experience
When I drove up the street I missed the entrance it’s a little hard to see because it’s not a paved driveway it’s a dirt road so keep an eye out for the entrance. Thors instructions were clear and easy to follow, you just need to be attentive. I arrived in the evening and left in the morning so I didn’t get to enjoy the river but it looked lovely. Thor was really friendly and helpful! Waking up to the roosters was really cool! This was my first time using Hipcamp and overall it was a great first time experience.
