This is a brand new listing on Hipcamp. The Secret Gardens is located about 2 minutes drive from the beach and the Monterey bay, about 12 miles away South of Santa Cruz. The beaches here are more peaceful and spread out as long as your eyes can see. We are 33 miles away from Monterey aquarium but you almost don't have to go anywhere when you are here. There are many things to do such as hiking at Land of Medicine Buddha or Forrest of Nisene Mark, Stroll around at Capitola Village, Have coffee and do awesome thrift shopping in downtown Aptos or in Soquel, Get some free foods from Free Food church on Wednesday evening (Yes, locally grown organic produce!), have a picnic on the cliff to watch the sunset, this town kind of remind you what's like to be in town without big boxes and franchise stores everywhere, life as its finest. This campground is also a great setting for your celebrations with two stages, a celebration area, a stone fired pizza oven and a sound systems (These are extras).

The Secret Garden
The Secret Garden was beyond our expectations! Greeted upon arrival by a very lovely Yeyen, she showed us the grounds; a oasis in the trees complete with a communal kitchen, beautifully appointed bathrooms, choice of tent camping or cabins … it was magical!! Highly recommend!

Very Zen
Lovely stay at this zen like retreat. Reminded me of Lombok Indonesia or Changmai Thailand. Very relaxing outside shower in a beautiful plant setting.

Amazing
Wow! Great spot! We really enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden. The kitchen is very well equiped, the amneties are clean. The garden is magical!

Tent camping at the Secret Garden
My boyfriend and I stayed at the bring your own tent site here and it was gorgeous! The pictures do not do the site justice at all, it is a lot more spacious than it seems. There is a full communal kitchen with equipment available to cook your own meals so you don’t have to bring a portable stove or equipment. There is also a communal fireplace. Yeyen and her husband were both so nice and accommodating and definitely made sure we were comfortable. There are also multiple bathrooms and showers to use which are comfortable. The whole space was well designed, thoughtful and makes you feel very welcomed. We went in mid September, so it the fog definitely crept in but it was still cozy in our tent with just sleeping bags. I would recommend layering up if you are coming during cooler months. Definitely a gem and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful and cozy trip.
