We are Albion locals lucky enough to call the Oak Show home. We live on the other end of the Oak Show property, a distance providing ample privacy for guests. We have two young children and two Lab mix dogs. You may see us walking along the driveway. Please drive slowly. We share this space with our neighbors, children, and pets. We also ask that campers be mindful of noise in the evenings and respect our rule of all amplified music being off between the hours of 10pm-8am. The water on our property comes from our well. Please be respectful of the drought conditions in our area and conserve water in any way possible. The base rate for this site includes up to four people, there is an extra charge of $15 per day, per person for any extra people. Campers can set up tents or trailers around the site and have access to the kitchen and bathroom, as well as an outdoor shower. There is a kegerator, gas grill, propane heater, and a corn hole set available to rent (see Extras). There is plenty of space to set up multiple tents, perfect for a group. Navarro Beach and Van Damme State Beach are 15 minute drives away. The village of Albion has a general store and deli, as well as beautiful river and marina. A 20 minute drive North will get you to the village of Mendocino where you'll find shopping and restaurants, as well as access to hiking, biking, kayaking, and whale watching. The Oak Show

What a gem!

We had such a great time at Oak Show! The hosts were very hospitable yet respectful of giving us space. The kitchen made everything more relaxing and convenient. It's a well thought out camping area, very well maintained. Our kids had so much fun playing hide and seek in the wooded areas or playing ball games in the open spaces. We have already talked about going back next year, and that has never happened before!

Oak Show Cabin

I stayed at the Oak Show cabin with my boyfriend and two dogs. The cabin was perfect for us! The bathroom was clean and the shower was great. They had enough supplies for us to cook dinner at the cabin. It felt super private and the views were gorgeous. Alanna’s land is beautiful and the perfect getaway away from the city.

The Oak Show

This is our second time at The Oak Show, and we loved it even more than the first time. Alanna was incredibly helpful and responsive, even when Hipcamp wasn't being responsive in how to increase our party size, She helped me work it out! The accommodations are perfect for a small or large group. Our favorite aspect is the outdoor shower! We will hopefully be back very soon!

Oak Show Cabin

Last year we stayed at Alanna's original site and loved it so we came back and stayed at the cabin this time. Our friends stayed in the cabin and my wife and I stayed in our trailer. Our friends reported that the cabin was very comfortable (they're fairly trustworthy). We all enjoyed the deck outside the cabin and appreciated having the bathroom attached to the outside with a separate entrance. The shower in particular was VERY nice. We really like the location inland just a bit so you're out of the fog (for the most part) but still close to the ocean. The logging roads connected to the property offer nice easy walks through the woods. Overall we really appreciate the views and the feeling of being secluded (with access to a hot shower)

Kitchen’s worth the rental alone!

Without exception, the photos DO NOT do this lovely oasis justice. Thoroughly clean at our arrival, the Oak Show’s well organized kitchen had plenty of utensils, loads of pots n pans, and endless odds n ends for campers’ use. One thing they under-advertise? A lovely working oven and a full sized fridge! We fed a huge group for both dinner and breakfast, fully utilizing the efficient kitchen’s pass-thru window plus large communal outdoor table to serve 20 happy campers a full buffet. Bring your own firewood and bring enough to leave behind as a courtesy to the next campers! While we didn’t partake, the gas grill (available for rent for an additional up-charge) was huge, clean, and the perfect add-on to your rental if you’re looking to grill some steaks or flip some burgers 11 out of 10 based on our expectations, will 1000% rent this again next year for our huge group ride into the redwoods.
