We are Albion locals lucky enough to call the Oak Show home. We live on the other end of the Oak Show property, a distance providing ample privacy for guests. We have two young children and two Lab mix dogs. You may see us walking along the driveway. Please drive slowly. We share this space with our neighbors, children, and pets. We also ask that campers be mindful of noise in the evenings and respect our rule of all amplified music being off between the hours of 10pm-8am. The water on our property comes from our well. Please be respectful of the drought conditions in our area and conserve water in any way possible. The base rate for this site includes up to four people, there is an extra charge of $15 per day, per person for any extra people. Campers can set up tents or trailers around the site and have access to the kitchen and bathroom, as well as an outdoor shower. There is a kegerator, gas grill, propane heater, and a corn hole set available to rent (see Extras). There is plenty of space to set up multiple tents, perfect for a group. Navarro Beach and Van Damme State Beach are 15 minute drives away. The village of Albion has a general store and deli, as well as beautiful river and marina. A 20 minute drive North will get you to the village of Mendocino where you'll find shopping and restaurants, as well as access to hiking, biking, kayaking, and whale watching. Should you have any questions or need any help during your stay, we are just a short walk away and happy to help. We hope you enjoy our site and we look forward to hosting you!

Everything was so clean, we had everything we needed, and the hosts were so helpful. This spot was beautiful and private. I can’t wait to go back.

Amazing, beautiful property!

We had such a great experience staying at Alanna’s property! Definitely would recommend and return for a second time. The land was beautiful and very spacious with great views and was very quiet at night and during the day. The two bathrooms, changing room, and shower area was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed including an oven, fridge, stove, coffee machine, dishwasher and toaster oven + utensils, cooking tools, pans and even seasoning for food. The Bluetooth speakers in the kitchen were a nice amenity as well. Alanna was great at answering all the questions I had prior to the trip :) Would definitely come again!

Beautiful spot, lots of space! What did I not need to bring because it was already there? Utensils, excessive coolers (there's a fridge/freezer), pots or pans, grill (they have one to rent), tables (there's several scattered about), coffee maker, salt & pepper, aluminum foil, baggies, dishtowels, dish soap, trash bags, dishes, glasses, basic cooking implements, fire ring. What did I bring that I was happy about? Hammocks, table cloth, Blackstone, corn hole, Bluetooth speaker, potholders. What do I wish that we brought? Lounge / zero gravity type chairs - beautiful meadow for star gazing, shade structure, kindling / fire starters - we opted for two bundles of wood and it was beautiful wood, but all hardwood and not easy to get going. We loved our weekend here - it was just two of us which felt luxurious given all of the space. There's enough flat, open space for lots of play. We remarked several times what a perfect group site it is. In addition to the aforementioned extras, we also opted for fresh vegetables which were beautiful and delicious! We ended up with a beautiful selection of vegetables, leafy greens and herbs along with some berries. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our time there and would welcome the opportunity to go back. What a great spot off the beaten path!

First but not last trip!

Based on the great reviews, I figured this would be a great spot for our trip, but WOW it exceeded any expectations. It is truly an exceptional campsite! We have camped at many, many HipCamps and few if any could beat this. Beautiful property with incredible amenities. We brought my parents on this trip and they are not regular campers and can be picky and my mom at one point said the kitchen, restroom and shower were all better than some AirBnbs that she has stayed in. Facilities were SUPER clean and so convenient. Water gets super hot, dishwasher worked great, stove/oven was a huge advantage for easy cooking, plenty of pots/pans/servingware/etc., shower was AMAZING. Beautiful meadow with endless options of where to pitch your tent. We added on the lotus bell glamp style tent for my parents which was so nice (mattress, chairs, clean/comfy bedding). Host Alana was super responsive on any and all communication. Less than 10 min drive to Albion coast and 15 or so (beautiful) drive to Mendocino. I could go on and on about how lovely this place was - 100/10 recommended on your next trip to Mendocino. We will absolutely be back!

Our small group LOVED our stay. The privacy, views, land, and amenities can't be beat! Josh and Alana are great hosts. Lots of options to pitch a tent or park a little camper or longer rv. Bathrooms, shower, and kitchen were spotless and charming. Our group will be back next year!

Perfect Getaway at The Oak Show

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Oak Show for the second time, and it was truly a fantastic experience! We had the entire place to ourselves, which made for a peaceful and private getaway. The kitchen and bathrooms were immaculate, providing all the comforts of home in a beautiful, rustic setting. While there was no hookup for our travel trailer, it turned out to be just fine, adding to the feeling of being immersed in nature. The views were absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking scenery at every turn. There was plenty of space for our dog to run and play off-leash, which was a huge bonus for us. Our first stay at The Oak Show was a year ago in a tent, and we were equally impressed then. It's clear that this Hipcamp consistently provides an exceptional experience. Overall, it was a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, and we can't wait to come back again!
