Terra Vivus is Latin for "The Earth is alive."
Welcome to a great balance of being away from civilization, engulfed in nature with peace and quiet yet also being 10 minutes away from the nearest market and 30 minutes away from the nearest city.
Chipmunks, crows, doves, crickets, coyotes, sparrows and many other creatures call this land home. This is protected land called a Significant Ecological Area mostly because of the thousands of Joshua Trees.
Send a photo of you sharing your water with the plants at terra.vivus.inquiries@gmail.com and receive $5 off your stay.

It can be windy at times, in order to mitigate this I recommend using your car(s) to block the wind. Local markets also sell neck gaiters for face protection. I also have pieces of plywood with bricks that you're welcome to move and shift to fit your needs. I am in the process of building a tree/shrub wind block.
There's about .4 miles of dirt road to get to the property, there are some dips to watch out for but I come out here in a little Prius so it's manageable.
Overall, there is an element of seclusion but occasionally people do drive by on the dirt road.
I would rate the cell phone service a 7/10, it's pretty solid but can go out at times.25% of all proceeds go towards restoring, preserving and enhancing the existing ecosystem as well as creating a tree/shrub wind-block.
This is a general dispersed campsite with two communal fire pits that can have up to 3 groups at a time. Due to the season, if you would like to use a fit pit, I currently require a picture ID and a release of liability waiver signed. If you would like the entire property to yourself, please let me know and select the option as an add on feature. I will block the other sites if possible or refund you. Feel free to park anywhere that seems convenient for you. As a courtesy, I usually let all groups know about each other but do not share personal information.
A good amount of seclusion in the general vicinity but every once in awhile someone might drive by on the dirt road. I've camped out here over 20 times and never had an issue with safety.
The Hipcamp coordinates will take you to the driveway with the Terra Vivus sign. The perimeter is along the two dirt roads. You can walk along the dirt road and explore more of the area but off the dirt road are other peoples properties. The outhouse is the SW corner of the property.
It can be windy at times so you'll want to anchor your tents or use your car to block the wind from the fire pit or tent. You can buy a neck gaiter for face protection at local markets in the area. I also have bricks and plywood you can move and shift to fit your needs.
Please be mindful and courteous to all other living creatures and plants in the area. This is their home.
