Learn more about this land: Our property is a working cattle ranch and horse training facility. It is 160 acres of the most peaceful setting. We are situated in a canyon with a creek running down the middle which offers a seasonal pond to swim in as well. We are mostly desert and rocky terrain with joshua trees on the southern boarder and oak trees towards the middle and top of property. There is room to hike and explore but campers must stay on our property as we are surrounded on three sides by Tejon Ranch land. Tejon ranch is the largest land owner in Kern county and covers 270,000 acres. On our fourth side to the east we have a wind mill park that supplies power to the grid. Our property is completely off the grid so be prepared to be self sufficient. There is plenty of water but no dump station. We do have a herd of wild horses that occasionally make their appearance on the ridge tops. Our property is a working cattle ranch and horse training facility. A home away from home
Overall the camping site is breath taking. You get your privacy with the comfort of knowing someone’s there to have your back if anything where to go wrong! Upon arrival we where greeted by Brandie and her family and led into the campsite. You are given the option of camping in the cleared area or hiking and finding your own. There are hiking trails to explore which are just breath taking. The blacksmithing and leatherwork classes where also exceptional and fun. Brandie and her family where also very comforting and welcoming, helping us out when we needed it and checking up on us. It was truly a home away from home experience.
