Camp beneath the stars, take in the awe-inspiring mountain views, and listen to the stillness that the California High Desert has to offer. Enjoy the peace and tranquility while cooking on your 36" fire pit grill, then serve your culinary creations on the picnic tables provided, perfect for sharing a meal with friends and family. Each camp site is generously spaced among wild untouched desert plants and shrubs, providing some privacy and separation, without being completely isolated. We are conveniently located just a 4 minute drive from the Sheriff's Office and local Hospital, 8 minutes from the nearest general store for Smores, and 15 minutes from all the modern stores and amenities you may need. We are also just 10 minutes from the historic community of Joshua Tree, where you can eat, drink, shop and explore the local exhibitions, museums and galleries. Most importantly Sunfair Vistas campground is located just 10 minutes from the nearest entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, so if you are up for hiking, bouldering, rock climbing or just a leisurely scenic drive, look no further.
*THE SECURITY CAMERA ON SITE HELPS WITH CHECK IN, AND IS THERE FOR YOUR ADDED SECURITY THANKS :)
**--AWD ADVISED-- ENTER AT OWNERS DISCRETION IT IS THE DESERT SO THERE IS POSSIBILITY OF GETTING STUCK. I DRIVE ON THE LAND ALL THE TIME IN MY OLD LOADED WORK VAN AND HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE, I PUT IT MOSTLY TO HUMAN ERROR BUT IT IS SOMETHING YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF THANKS :)
*** Please note our camp sites are self-check in and automated, however, please don't hesitate to contact us, as we are always happy to help. Also, please keep in mind that as Joshua Tree is located in the high desert, temperatures can get quite hot during the summer off season and quite cold at night in the winter. Also, winds may pick up from time to time, so use the shrubs and your vehicle as a windbreak if it gets a little gusty, which thankfully is usually on and off, if it happens at all.If you are looking for more consistent temperatures, you may wish to plan your visit to Joshua Tree between March and May, or October and November. Otherwise, a little shade, or a nice fire will keep you happy in the off season as you venture in the great outdoors. All that said, we have camped here in various conditions and different seasons and have enjoyed it each time. Just make sure you are prepared by checking the weather and packing accordingly for the season and potential weather conditions. Thanks for taking the time to read about our little getaway campground. My wife and I hope you enjoy your time in Joshua Tree, regardless of where you choose to stay.
Thanks and best wishes.
