Soak in a cedar hot tub and Renu cold plunge nestled in an oak grove, then sleep in our A Frame or one of our two luxurious yurt-like tents. Venture into the clearing with open skies for truly amazing starry views at night. It's a peaceful retreat surrounded by pines and oaks, yet is still less than 15 minutes from the historic Gold Mining towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley. A composting toilet is housed in a beautiful, well maintained outhouse and a heated outdoor shower is located next to the hot tub and cold plunge. These as well as the hot tub/cold plunge area are shared between our two sites. PLEASE NOTE: While many guests have found each spot to feel private, it's important to mention that these are located in a large clearing behind our house. You'll have ample space and privacy, with the added convenience of having someone nearby if you need anything. Amazing Weekend Getaway Spot

Had an amazing weekend getaway at Ellie and Jack's glamping site. Saw so many stars at night and deers during the day. The tent bed was very comfy. The nearby Nevada City town had a great vibe; we were lucky to catch the Saturday morning farmer's market. The hot tube was amazing. I also tried the composite toilet for the first time, which was kept very clean. Ellie and Jack were also very responsive to my questions. Overall, it was an amazing stay. Only improvement desired was maybe abit more privacy for the outdoor shower. One side of it was completely opened.

Yurt was much nicer than mere glamping. Hot tub, cold plunge, and outdoor shower are treats. Even the composting toilet had a nice view. Quiet and serene.

We had a great time during our two night stay at Ellie and Jack's! We decided to book last minute with our two kids - baby and 4 year old. We wanted to camp, but didn't want to deal with the setting up and taking down this time.. and so their place was a perfect in between! The tent was spacious, clean and comfortable and definitely met our needs. The hot tub and cold plunge were a plus and outdoor shower was fun as well. The area is quiet and also located conveniently a short drive to downtown as well as the river. I hope we get a chance to stay again!

Great Nevada City getaway

The tent was cute and comfortable, with many nice amenities and hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We enjoyed our summer getaway, but could imagine it would be nice in all four seasons! Thanks for a great weekend!
