Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Baby Oaks Oasis
Benjamin’s land was perfect for our softball team to camp & bond on! It wasn’t far from town yet felt like it. The landscape was fun for the kids to explore and the sunsets were gorg. We also got a kick out of the animals on the property. Thank you for having us!

Rock Bottom w/ a View from the Top
The view is stunning!
The view is wow! Waking up to boulders, up in the mountains overlooking the valley is pretty amazing, especially during sunset! Everyone was super impressed! The caretaker was super kind and friendly! :) Would love to come back and try out other spots.

Splitrock Valley - Stargazer
Had a great time at the Stargazer site; we splurged and got the glamping package (tent & two fully-made mattresses), which certainly sped up our set-up & tear-down times, and I didn't wake up with a stiff back. We didn't feel too close to other sites; couldn't really hear anyone else all night. The restroom was clean and only about 50 yards away. I will absolutely come back.

Peaceful Rock
Amazing stay with great views
This campsite was one of the best I have stayed at in my life! From scenic views, to a beautiful hike, Splitrock has it all. The hosts were more than helpful and rhetorical amenities were in great shape. To say I would recommend this is less than what I hope to convey as I am already planning trips with more friends to come spend a weekend there.
