The ranch been here for many years ( We uncovered a buried Horse wagon from the late 1800's at the back end of the property) . There was originally a very small cabin, but since it was upgraded by the previous owner around 1961 by adding a small kitchen and indoor restroom instead of the "outhouse" . My wife purchased the property about 3 years ago and we been doing intensive cleaning and upgrading of the Rustic property so we can share it with our guests !         Learn more about this land: Ranch setting on the high desert with over 15 pine trees for shadow areas.Great paved area with chairs and tables for eating, reading, or just contemplating nature! Expect the Unexpected with Claudio
A unique camp but it can grow on you given the host's amiable and interesting story for this property, so get to know him! Rough dirt road getting in but my 50 ft trailer and truck had no problem and the first impression may be off-putting if your new to Hipcamp. Close to great hiking, offroading, and the town (the Moose Lodge was the bomb and our sponsor Shane rocked). Camping is right next to the house but the host wasn't there during our stay or didn't notice him.

More than meets the eye!
We enjoyed our stay at sleepy meadows. It has a certain charm about it that can’t be explained. Claudio, the host, is awesome and cares about your experience. Very clean port-a-potty and washing station is available for those in tents. Spotty to zero cell service (AT&T). We would stay here again.

Feels out there
Kinda an odd spot in what feels like the middle of nowhere but the were clean and had all noted amenities. Claudio the host was not there but was extremely helpful and responsive via text. Note that RV sites are very close together, this was ok for us bc we were the only ones there but we imagine could feel tight if other campers there. Quiet and serene w interesting farm equipment and old vehicles. We enjoyed our stay

Sleepy Meadow Ranch
We really liked our stay. It was quiet and rustic. The camp is a work in progress but Claudio's vision will make it a great community and group camp soon. His neighbors are super nice. Lots of great hiking in the area. We'll be back. Oh, and yes, you do hear the wolves at night. It's awesome!

Sleepy Meadow Ranch
Great place to rest.
This place isn't cute and cozy but in a good way, more of a ranch full of vintage machinery and storage containers. The two camps are a bit too close, but since I was the only person there it was great to be able to walk around and take photos. Having a fire at night was very nice when temperatures dropped to 50. The night before we camped at a state campsite with no fire, shivering all night. The two campsites are a little too close to each other and to the main house, so I wouldn't say there's much sense of privacy of feeling secluded. But the main patio, full of seating, is pretty nice if you come with a large group. The host Claudio and the older gentleman living in his trailer were very welcoming and friendly. They made sure I had everything for the night, including food and water. I did end up having to buy my own fire wood, but the host hooked me up with a couple of logs. Bathroom was clean. Having a water sink on the side was very convenient. This is a great place for those on an adventure, who just need a night to sleep near a fire for warmth.
