San Diego Mountain Lodge is a beautiful escape to nature sprawled out over about 40 acres on a breathtaking spot that we call Hideout Mountain in Santa Ysabel, CA. Multiple experiences are offered: -- glamping in our vintage camper trailers, -- RV sites with full hookups and incredible views of Lake Henshaw -- campsites, -- luxury camping in our remodeled cabins (studio, 1br, and 2br cabins) each with different amenities ranging from full kitchens, wood burning fireplaces, large outdoor decks and private fire pits. Gather and share ideas with fellow guests at our community firepit and picnic tables. What makes Hideout Mountain a magical place? #1 on the list are the stunning views as far as the eye can see of Lake Henshaw and the valley and surrounding mountains. We also have a one-of-a-kind, world renowned restaurant and bar on the property: Josie's Hideout Saloon, open on weekends with live music. We are located just a few minutes drive away from downtown Santa Ysabel and Julian, with easy access off Hwy 76.

View perfect Camping!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this place. We camped at site #16. Beautiful views. Access to restroom water small cleaning sink bbq pit fire pit and nice turf grass pad for tents and a picnic table. Also full hookup with lights at night. Leave the site and explore the trails, saloon, Julian pies company, Indian reservation dispensary and a super intriguing cemetery all within ten minutes of camp!!

RV Campsite #1 - The Crossing
The site was great! It was perfect for the trip we wanted, we enjoyed the live music from Josie's hideout but perhaps that wouldn't be for everyone. The owner (Dave) was very hospitable and took us on a tour of a few cabins and showed us around the entire property. Overall a great experience -- we will be back!

RV Campsite #14 - Lake View Oasis
Awesome spot
We will definitely stay here again, amazing view, well maintained, super clean bathrooms and just peaceful. There was some cloud cover early on but when they moved on the stars and the moon were amazing. Next time we will book site 16 for a little more privacy and the best view but the view at #14 is still spectacular with a lake view. We ran into staff once and they were very welcoming and told us about the area. 5 stars!

RV Campsite #16 - The Amphitheater
Stargazing paradise with lake view
This was an amazing spot exactly how it was advertised as an “amphitheater” with beautiful views to the lake. The outdoor washroom is well maintained and clean. I loved the outdoor bathing station as well. This is also a paradise for stargazing on moonless nights or when moonsets. I wound recommend the place if you’re planning for a day’s trip as there’s not much to do around. Lake Henshaw was closed all times and there’s only sunrise and sunset vista views. . Also felt the $130+ tag to be overpriced. Felt its at max a $100 outdoor place

B-E-A-utiful
Great spot, wonderful view. It was really hot when we went, so we are planning on coming back when it’s not 95 degrees. Overall wonderful sight, you can tell the owners care about maintaining their property. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The Cove: Oak-Tree Shaded Campsite
Great Camping Trip
Very amazing place to camp and the lake is not far to fish at. Campgrounds were very clean as well as the restroom. We will definitely be coming back and hopefully trying out the cabin next time.
