If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a few close friends or your family, this option is for you. Tucked in along the South Fork of the American River, this beautiful campsite features picnic benches, a propane fire pit with propane included (fire pits help prevent wildfires), and a prep table for fixing up those tasty fireside meals. Guests also have access to shared bathroom facilities (and yes, there are showers!), volleyball, ping pong, communal benches, a sink and dishwashing station, and a common swimming area along the river. Most sites are within a very short walking distance to the banks of the South Fork of the American River, this place is ideal for anyone interested in experiencing the beauty of the foothills and the rush of the river. We offer both tent and RV sites. Each RV site includes its own picnic table, water and 30Amp power hookups. Guests will also have access to our volleyball court, ping pong, communal benches, and a common area with a sink and dishwashing station. Additionally, you can access the swim area and go for a dip to cool off on a hot day. If you're looking to steal some time away to reconnect and camp, this is the place for you. People of all ages can camp out, swim, and play. We offer toilets, showers, trash disposal, potable water and more depending on the site you chose. Leashed pets 45 pounds or less are allowed as well. Enjoy biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, paddling, climbing, swimming, whitewater rafting, and wildlife watching all nearby, or on site.

Entire Property

Perfect space for a large family!

RockNWater camp was perfect for our son's first birthday celebration. We have a big family and friend group with many kids (30+ adults and 20+ kids) and a mix of tent campers and RVers. We used the Oak site as our main gathering site since it was more centralized, and it worked out great! The families that had older kids, set up in the Oak site with the other families & the families that had younger kids and wanted more privacy chose to stay in the smaller sites. Having sink/handwashing stations around the site makes a big difference. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, and the hot water never ran out, even though we had such a large group. Even the portapotties were immaculate. It was consistently 90+ degrees on the weekend we were there, and having a private beach was a game changer. For lunch on Saturday, we just wheeled over (using the provided wagons!) all of our tables/tents and lunch to set up near the water. It was the perfect afternoon! The hosts checked garbage, recycling, and propane tanks daily. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Check-in and Check-out were easy, and we felt like we had our own private river getaway area the entire time. Thinking of making this an annual tradition!

Oak Tent Site

Annual camping trip !!

Another awesome trip for us in the books thanks to RockNWater camping !! We rented the oak tent site for our group of 13 ! Hungbiut at the beach all day and played in the river and caught plenty of trout !!

Canopy Tent Site

My family really enjoyed this site!! It was very close to the water and very private, surrounded by trees and shade. Kris was very hospitable- her and Paul kindly checked on us a couple times. It was nice to have different bathrooms including flushable! Thanks Kris for making this a fun new place!
