Looking forward to coming back!
Host is super friendly and gave the best directions. Follow her directions because there is a private road the GPS will try to take you down that you can not cross. Like the other review said it is a slanted lot but it is getting worn in with flat areas, I think we helped a bit. Very peaceful and quiet, could barely hear your neighbors. There is a nice picnic table, fire ring, and there was a large water jug! the site is large with different spots for a tent. They even let us move the fire ring. We wanted to shoot our compound bows and brought a target with us. I messaged the host before coming and they helped make a site for us to to prop up our target, it was so wonder it helped a lot! We did have a few wasps flying around but they were easily distracted by some leftover food placed away from the picnic table. I think I'll bring a wasp trap next time. Also be prepared for the red dust/dirt in this area, I thought we got a tan, but ended up just dusty.

This is by far one of the most peaceful and quiet campsite I’ve stayed at. At first I was a bit worried because our campsite was just 300 yards away from the Main Street but it was pretty secluded behind trees. Only a few cars and trucks passed by but didn’t bother at all. There were beautiful trees around us and the view is amazing. I found it helpful there was a water tank on our campsite. The drive wasn’t so bad off of highway 32. We spent a day at avid well park and swam at Bear hole which is about 30 mins. I wish I had the opportunity to meet the host, tho was very responsive when I had questions via email. Thanks again for letting us stay a few nights!!

From the first question I sent (I had many questions) this host about trails and activities in the area Kalifornia was very responsive and answered all of my questions thoroughly and gave me a lot of information about the area. We got lucky and were able to have a campfire (this is a very fire hazardous area so you often cannot have a fire) and there was firewood aplenty. Unfortunately, the site was newly made and not very level which was a problem for both sleeping and the little fridge in our van to stay on. However, when we asked for a shovel to work on it one was delivered literally in minutes. The site had a brand new picnic table and was fairly spacious. There is a lovely little forest around you and a good amount of shade. This site is just off of a dirt road and vehicles can go through a bit fast, I didn't want my dog to wander far (also poison oak). I really felt like we were looked after very well by our hosts and I would imagine that this site will continue to improve to be more level.
