Located on 16 acres, Redwood Retreat is nestled among majestic redwood trees. It is a a cool relief from hot temperatures elsewhere! We have a cottage, a tent cabin with a queen air mattress, and two camping sites for up to 4. Sites 1 & 2 combine nicely for a group of up to 8 and site 3 can accommodate a group of up to 6 (w/ host approval). Enjoy the owls, doves, hummingbirds, and salamanders. Corralitos is ideal for biking (Demonstation Forest), hiking (Byrne Milliron Forest) - the terrain on our property is NOT hikeable - wine tasting, and the beach is 30 minutes away. We are equi-distant between Monterey and Santa Cruz (also approximately 30 minutes but depends on traffic) for all of your more "touristy" desires. Under 2 hours to San Francisco. We will send a very comprehensive list of recommendations for things to do, places to go, and things to see & do in the Santa Cruz/Monterey area when you book, as well as specific directions to get here. PLUS, Chef Mima has a host of things to offer in terms of culinary temptations like a whole line of SENSATIONAL SKILLETS or the more upscale 3 COURSE DINNER. Menus are sent when you book. Why not line up a COOKING CLASS ($85. per person plus ingredients) for a 3 hour class including DINING ON THE DECK with your new culinary creation? Scroll to bottom of photo gallery for latest photos. Ask for the current list of classes. Mima spent 6 years at reknowned Chez Panisse restaurant before starting a career as a caterer in the food industry. SEE EXTRAS! Imagine a peaceful, serene neck of the woods with NO WIFI. Feel the restorative power of nature building resilience and buffering tomorrow’s stress. Welcome to Redwood Retreat. in the mountains above the sweet town of Corralitos, approximately a half hour to either Santa Cruz or Monterey and 20 minutes to nearest beach. If you are the type of camper that likes to play music or be loud, this is not the camp for you. This is a refuge from that. When multiple sites are reserved, this spot is perfect for family vacations, company retreats, small celebrations etc. It is strongly recommended that you book all three sites if you wish to entertain. No amplified noise. A noise curfew is in effect from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. for anything but talking. Sound carries and we must respect neighbors and other campers.THX!

Great stay
Mima's place was amazing, especially for people wanting to try camping. She has a lot of items if anything was forgotten. It was clean and just as expected, or better! FYI if privacy is your thing the sites are all next to each other. Definitely be prepared for mosquitoes! But Mima also has that covered just in case with bug spray. Definitely would go back.

Site 2 - Tent for a Queen
It’s exactly what you’d hope for and even better after looking at all the beautiful pictures. We were warmly welcomed even though we came an hour before sunset. The common area is gorgeous, functional, smart and practical. Our family of 4 was comfortable and both our 5 and 3 year old children got to sleep early for them and felt at total peace. We had fun saying good night to the ravens, saying good morning to the chickens and going on a spontaneous banana slug hunt. We really look forward to coming back soon hopefully <3

Peaceful Stay in Giant Redwoods
Great first experience with Hipcamp. Mima has a beautiful land amongst giant redwoods with chickens and a rabbit onsite. Kids loved feeding them and following them around. We even got to take some eggs laid by the chickens and cooked breakfast using them - that's as fresh as you can get. We especially loved the communal outdoor kitchen/dining area. Not only did it make our food prep/eating easier, it was also a good opportunity to meet other campers. We stayed for 2 nights and had a very peaceful retreat away from busy city life. Mima is a wonderful host. She was very communicative after we booked and provided detailed instructions. During our stay, she frequently checked in with us. And on our last day, she gave us homemade cake that was so delicious.

Site 1 - Wide Open
Decided to find a quick weekend camp getaway and came across this wonderful listing that was available right away. Upon arrival, host came out to greet us and gave us a friendly tour, as well as extra citronella candles and a lantern. My husband and I really enjoyed Site 1 because it was on the edge and was so spacious. The space and surrounding were all very lovely and peaceful. All amenities were provided as listed in the description. Super impressed with the communal area, available clean porta potty, and tent shower. Would definitely return soon!

Thank you! Beyond amazing!
We had a last minute trip here and the hosts were incredible. Their land is beautiful and well kept. We were able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast and headed to tide poles in the morning. My 7 year old enjoyed all the fun little things around the land, bunny, chickens, swings and cute little gnomes!
