Welcome to Red Tail Ranch, a beautiful 90 acre property in the Sierra Nevada foothills, just 25 minutes from the Yosemite entrance gate. Among the oak woodlands, meadows and coniferous forest, there are numerous trails to explore the property and direct riding access to a developed mountain biking area nearby. Great birding, botanizing and wildlife watching opportunities abound. We have RV sites with hookups, a four site drive-in campground and two walk-in campsites- all with clean, flush toilet bathrooms, hot outdoor showers, indoor camp kitchen and gathering space. Whether your pitching a tent, parking a campervan or rv, there are opportunities for everyone. We are 10 minutes from the small town of Groveland with a market and restaurants and just down the road from the put in for rafting on the Tuolumne river. Our pricing is a little higher than other places nearby and this is due to the property's great locations, incredible beauty, and all of the amenities added for a great experience. Cooper's Hawk Camp

Family camping adventures

My family had a great time camping at Red Tail Ranch. There are so many fun things to do around the property. Of course we went to Yosemite one day. And it was awesome because we didn’t have reservations, so we booked tickets on the Yarts bus that stops conveniently in Groveland. But we also went mountain biking at the Ferretti non motorized bike trail system. That was super fun! We brought up 2 bikes and also rented from Trail Less Traveled in town. The trails were only 2 miles away from the campground, so we rode out from there. That was super convenient! We also went white water rafting from here. It’s a great spot for adventures and an awesome home base. I love the outdoor showers. Everything was super clean. The bathrooms were immaculate. The campsites were spaced nicely-not too close. And the fact that there is a kitchen right by the campsite available to cut up things, wash dishes, and put my cooler (when it was 100+ degrees out), was a super bonus. The stars at night were amazing and Robb was resourceful. I highly recommend staying here!!

Headwaters RV #1

Beautiful property. Close to Yosemite entrance. Groveland is a cute little town, only a 10-15 minute drive away. I loved the privacy of the land. The weather was hot and it was nice to utilize the outdoor shower. Robb is a helpful and responsive host.

Pine Siskin camp

Had a good stay at Robb's place. Everything was great. It was a relief to have a clean toilet and a good shower. The only problem we faced was the Wi-Fi. It wasn't connecting in certain areas but worked well in the kitchen area.

Red Tail Ranch - Yosemite Trip

Camping at Red Tail Ranch was an amazing place! The camp site is beautiful. The walk in sites were very well maintained and we enjoyed the privacy of the campsite. The close proximity to Yosemite park was also very convenient. Definitely would stay here again next time we visit Yosemite!
