Site 1 at Once Upon a Ranch
We were in town for the famous yearly Woofstock Dog Show cluster in Vallejo and wanted a quiet place to camp for the show. 2024 is the last year that Woofstock would be doing a 4-day show, so we wanted to be able to attend the entire event without having to drive back and forth from our property. I found Nouae’s listing and it was the only one that was close enough to Vallejo and also affordable. There are pretty much no other listings in the vicinity for some reason, so I was very happy to book a site on his land. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nouae himself as well as his German Shepherd, Winston. He was very welcoming and accommodating, and said we could text if we ever needed anything. Nouae was extremely responsive to any messages or updates I sent, and my husband and I even had a great chat with him one evening. He recommended us some delicious local eats (I am a big foodie)! The views around his property were gorgeous, and I would highly recommend staying on Nouae’s land for easy driving distance to many cities in the north Bay Area. The toilet was great, and the trains weren’t too much of a bother. I got used to it after the first night. As an avid birder, I absolutely loved all the various avian species that frequent the property. It was very windy when we stayed, but I honestly didn’t mind, especially since we were in a rooftop tent. If we are in the area next time, I would gladly stay on Nouae’s property again!

Nouae’s place was perfect. He & his wife were very kind and welcomed us to their place upon arrival. The bathroom was super nice and the site had a fire pit & picnic table for us. Highly recommend!

Clean bathroom! There’s no shade, however, Nouae was very personable and shared stories about his farm animals!

Such an amazing view of the night sky! I can’t recommend this spot enough, and they were gracious enough to find me a spot last minute. I’ll be back for sure!
