Great spot to stop
Great place to visit, better still to stay, had a wonderful nit stay, train does make a noise as it paces, but nothing bad for us. Thank you for letting us stay

My wife and I stayed two nights and loved camping here. A unique and beautiful isolated location. Perfect for escaping from it all and excellent for star gazing. We were warmly welcomed and the facilities were excellent.

Great place to visit and stay
I loved RV camping at this site. It was hot, but after all, it was the desert in July! Lots of history to explore, an awesome memorial site for veterans, an old schoolhouse and lots more. Great communication and directions just off of historic Route 66. A step back in time with great hosts. I recommend.

That's a great and quiet place with stunning sunset views. Andy showed us the property, pointed out the dangerous cacti so we could stay away from them, and let us decide where to place the tent. There is a proper toilet, shower (the water is natural but warm enough due to the scalding desert weather), drinkable water, and even an oven. We were alone in the camp, so it was almost a private experience. Not to mention the historical importance of the place in the middle of the Mojave Desert; it felt like being in a western movie.

Great spot quite and well laid out
Quirky unique fun place to camp. Very quiet and well laid out. My only complaint would be lack of communication on what to do if you arrive after hours after communicating well in advance I would be arriving late. The camping area had cones in the entryway and it looked like a permanent mobile home community so I didn’t know what to do. Lucky for me a couple of other late arrivals showed up behind me and their respective party already in the campground gave us directions.

Please be sure to inform your campers that are coming in if you are going to be having any loud boom (canon) noises that scare the dogs and give them great anxiety. It was a bit uncomfortable, and my dog couldn’t get over it for three hours… And I’m sure she was not the only one :( Otherwise, it’s a pretty cool place!
