Our property is 142 acres located on the top of east Cuesta grade, elevation approximately 2100. We are secluded enough to feel like you're far away from city life but in reality only 20 minute drive to downtown San Luis Obispo. The main road up continues past our property and turns into the Los Padres National Forest and is very popular for hiking and biking with locals. We also have private trails within our property. We have a farm consisting of 10 sheep, 10 goats, 30 chickens, 2 pigs, 4 dogs, a cat. Interaction with farm animals may be possible upon request. Most campsites are close to our animal pastures. Guests have enjoyed having a morning coffee in the company of sheep and a couple of pigs on the other side of the fence. Bee hives are located on the property as well. Honey, eggs and firewood are available for purchase. :)

Mountain camping with views
Everything we asked for and more! Site was beautiful with 360 views as promised. Salinan was nice and quiet and had a great spot to pitch our tent to protect us from the wind (it did get windy), but the views were totally worth it. Karina was also kind and responsive if we needed her.

The Range
The Range is Gorgeous!!!
Absolutely gorgeous campsite with some incredible sunset views!! The spot is private, flat, and has everything you could ever need. Not to mention the sweetest dogs, goats, and pigs! This place is a hidden gem, and so close to downtown SLO. Thank you Karina and Chris for an amazing weekend stay❤️

The Range
Top o the Morning Night World
Took the Sprinter up to the top of the property where The Range is located and wow: fresh spring water, flat parking, 360 view. Even goats. And a couple pigs. And a once in an 80,000 year comet. I had wondered at the high-ish price but it was worth it.

The Range
The views from The Ranch were absolutely stunning, especially the sunset in the evening. If you are looking for a private spot to camp this is it! Your only visitors might be the friendly pigs, goats and dogs. The composting toilet was very clean with zero smell and great to have a spigot of running water at the site as well. The availability of a shower was also great. After a bike ride in the mountains, was nice to be able to clean up. Would highly recommend this property.
