Welcome to Kimball Farm! We have cultivated our family farm to be a sanctuary - a place for people to feel the love of the earth, and what it has to offer us. Spectacular skies surround the farm, with roaming chickens, crowing roosters and vegetables, medicinal herbs, and fruits growing - a living model of what is beautiful AND possible in life. The cozy TeePee has a vibe of its own, and sits beside a sweet, peaceful pond, outdoor sitting area, and fire pit. There is plenty of room for additional tents and RV's. The convenience of accessible electricity, running toilets, hot water shower, gas grill and an additional covered sitting area make your camping adventure that much more comfortable. Super convenient to get here! We're less than 20 miles from the Sacramento Airport, and just a few minutes off of Interstate 5. Yet you'd never know it once you get to the farm and feel the peace and quiet. We're looking forward to seeing you soon! Additional note....Life on the farm is calm, peaceful and easy... operating with the natural rhythm of the sun cycle. What few clocks we do have, are stuck on twenty minutes past four. We are also family and kid friendly. Please private message us with any questions you may have, or if you would like additional information. We are also home wine makers. If you would like a tour of the cellar along with tasting please let me know. Please know that although the teepee provides some shelter from the elements it is not a house. This is still camping and you will be subject to the elements of Mother Nature. Hot, cold, rain, wind, dirt, dust, mud and different animal sounds during the night. When you are here you may see frogs, toads, lizards, snakes (none poisonous) ants, turtles, squirrels, etc.. Those of you who have experienced camping before know that these are all normal things when out in nature but for those of you who have no camping experience I ask you to come with an open mind and a positive attitude towards a new experience. If you think you may have problems with any of these things PLEASE DON'T COME!!! We also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you. Please note that as of spring 2021 we no longer have as many animals. Because of the drought feed prices are too high.

RV or Camper space.
Not for us
George was a very kind and helpful host. Unfortunately though we left feeling like we had way overplayed for the space he offers. I was on a 2 week long trip and this was the most expensive site we stayed at (most expensive hip camp I’ve ever stayed at for that matter). The electricity is definitely not 30 amps. I wouldn’t even call it a 20amp since we just had phones plugged in at night and we lost power. This was frustrating because a big reason we booked 30 amps was to run AC during the heat of the day. There was dog poop all over the site. And some have said how great the dog is to have around, I found it a bit overwhelming that there were 2 dogs who wanted to hang out from the moment we stepped outside the RV. It made it hard to take our dog out to use the restroom. Don’t get me wrong they were very nice dogs but some space would be nice. I did ask for the dogs to be called in while we ate dinner outside and George quickly helped bring them in which was great. I totally get it’s these dogs space but just something to keep in mind if looking to book. As far as the toilets, like others have said it was nice to have toilets but they were like flushable outhouses. Didn’t use the outdoor shower but seemed nice to be able to shower under the stars. I could see how this would be a great fit for some but just not for us.

RV or Camper space.
A very private site. The dog, Sara is super friendly and very cute. There’s a large pond with lots of ducks. Very pretty. A couple of reasons why we won’t stay here again: 1. We stayed one night and when we got home the following day we both noticed that we had been bitten up pretty good. Not sure what got us but we are definitely dealing with the bites; 2. The restroom is essentially an outhouse with plumbing. No lighting. One of the restrooms had a dead mouse on the floor. Lots of cobwebs. The shower is also gross. Again no lighting and tons of cobwebs.

Teepee on family farm
Rustic teepee
Decent place to stop en route somewhere. I ended up not sleeping in the teepee because there were ants on the ground and wasps flying around inside. I slept on the platform next to the teepee under the stars, which was nice but there were mosquitoes. Nice, hot outdoor shower (and flushing toilet) but there were lots of cobwebs. Could use a little TLC but it was a good place to rest for a night. My dog loved the pond and mostly got along with the other 2 dogs there. She was a little stressed out by them on occasion and that wasn’t ideal for me either. Overall, totally fine place.

Teepee on family farm
Peaceful adorable little spot
Such a peaceful, adorable, safe spot! Nothing like falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking up to cows on a hill in the distance and a family of ducks and 2 super sweet dogs that greet you with happy tails wagging:) The outdoor shower was awesome and being a farm, the handsome resident rooster will make sure you are up early and ready to go! We loved it!!!

Fantastic hosts and farm camp
My daughters and I loved the campsite. The shade was amazing, secluded and farm animals made it a fun escape from the summer heat. Wonderful friendly hosts and the family farm wine was delicious.

RV or Camper space.
We booked an RV only space and later needed the TP tent and we appreciate George and his daughter accommodating our last minute needs. The tent is open air and is right next to a beautiful wooden deck. Their friendly dog greeted us in the morning and enjoyed a morning stroll in the farm. Thank you!
