Hunter Moon Ranch is a beautiful active farm/ranch, located on the central coast. Five minutes from the beach and town of Morro Bay. 18 acres of land, situated on a little creek, that’s abundant with wildlife. We’re just outside the fog line, with an awesome view of the rock. This ranch is like an animal sanctuary. Along with the farm animals and dogs that call this place home. Many different species of birds, deer, hawks, raccoons and other friendly critters, can be spotted here daily. Ideally close to the beach and town, but tucked away up against a hill side, out in the country. Come enjoy our slice of heaven, where every living being calls home. The creekside casita is a beautiful one bedroom beach bungalow, that sits right above Morro Creek with easy parking and all the amenities. A one bedroom house with a small living room, bathroom, full kitchen and an attached laundry room. The casita can accommodate 2 people comfortably in the queen-sized bed. If you would like to fit a third person on a provided air mattress, you are welcome to, however, any parties above 3 will be charged $25/person and we request the others stay in tents in the backyard (we do not provide extra tents). We offer kayaks and surfboards at a very small additional price. You can walk around about eight acres of the ranch and there will be an access point to the creek to dip your feet in as well, provided it has water.

Creekside Casita
Creekside Casita was such a lovely stay. We were so sad to leave! Everything about the place felt super comfortable and homely, and we had no trouble settling in. It’s very private and quiet, and it has a nice backyard area to look up at the night sky or get some fresh air in the morning. My favorite part of the stay was the full kitchen, which was equipped with everything we needed to cook a nice dinner. Kait and Charlie were such wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely would stay here again!

Casita Love
We had a wonderful stay at Kait and Charlie’s Casita. It was a treat to watch hawks, herons, squirrels, birds and owls as they did their thing…like the nature channel, live. The Casita had everything we needed — coffee, extra blankets, and even snacks. It was an easy 5 min drive into Morro Bay. What a treat to be just outside of the fog so we could get warmed up before we went down to the coast, too!

Creekside Casita
Beautiful, thoughtful energy
The energy and true care that clearly went into this casita is clear upon first stepping in to the space and it continued through our stay. The creek, quiet evenings, and wildlife were wonderful and the airy, cozy home was exactly what we hoped for. The fridge was a bit leaky but manageable and kept things cold and there was a pretty intense verbal altercation between two people who lived there just 1 out of our 5 afternoons (far enough away from the casita that we could give them space and have our own), but we are all human! I imagine anywhere you stay with other people has potential for disagreement and they were nothing but incredibly kind and accommodating with us. We still highly recommend it and will go back. We are highly satisfied!

Creekside Casita
Nice place, well kept, and peaceful. Had the amenities needed and was close to town but you wouldn't know it by the feel of the location. Would for sure stay again. Thanks!
