The property is one acre of rural woods. One and a half miles down the ridge and across the Albion Bridge is a campground with canoeing, fishing, and small beach. Mendocino Village is 7 miles and Fort Bragg is 17 miles. At the bottom of Albion Ridge Road is a restaurant called the Ledford House. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the restaurant. The surrounding area offers hiking, kayaking and fishing in the Noyo Harbor. House of Trees has NO cooking facilities inside. Food to go can be warmed up in the toaster oven or toast made in the morning. I have provided a notebook with some of the restaurant menus in the area. 7/27/24 The fire ban is in affect. So sorry, but can not use firepit at this time. 5/31/24 I have installed an outdoor sink to wash dishes, and gas grill with side burner. You are welcome to cook outside. I have provided non stick pans, pots, and colander for the side burner so you can cook eggs, pasta, whatever you would cook on a stove. It is okay to use the gas BBQ during the fire ban.Basically a nice place to spend the night allowing campers to explore the beautiful coast. Coffee maker, toaster oven, Queen sized bed, claw foot bathtub and shower. Small refrigerator. Stocked with glass wear, paper plates and utensils. This she shed sits behind my cabin. It is 2 years old. Picnic table and chairs on the deck are provided. There is no cooking inside. Gas BBQ with side burner to cook outside. Gas BBQ can be used during fire ban.

Cozy, private cabin. Great location
Don’t hesitate booking The House of Trees on Janice’s property! The cabin is small, but you’ll have everything you need and more for a relaxing stay. Janice has packed the cabin with all kinds of thoughtful amenities and comforts. We loved sitting on the small deck under the canopy of trees. The location is perfect for exploring the Mendocino coast.

We LOVED our stay at House of Trees! Our favorite Hipcamp stay on our coastline roadtrip. The heated towels, robes, coffee machine, bath, and TV were some of our favorite amenities. We felt very welcomed and taken care of, yet had our own personal space and privacy. 🛁☕️🌲 Thank you Janice! This was a special and magical night to remember. Definitely recommend and hope to come back again. ✨

I had a fabulous time at the House Of Trees. It really is as cute as the photos. Janice has done a great job! The bed was unbelievably comfy too. The cabin and the area outside were full of amenities. I had a gorgeous soak in the clawfoot tub. I wish I had stayed longer!!

I felt so comfortable and cared-for in Janice's cabin. Janice made sure that my girlfriend and I had everything we needed for a nice stay in Mendocino. We had an unforgettable trip, and the cabin was one of the highlights. Thanks again, Janice!

Next Level HipCamp!
House of Trees is an absolute dream for Hipcampers! The location is perfect for exploring the Mendocino Coast, the property has everything you could ever need to elevate your stay, and Janice is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I have always dreamed of having a little place of my own to escape to on the NorCal coast. In the meantime, this property is so perfect, and Janice is so welcoming, that I know I will be returning here for years to come. It’s perfect for a solo adventure or a couples vacation. This is Hipcamping taken to the next level! Highly recommend!
