This campsite is a natural setting in the corner of our lower pasture. It features several oaks and lots of room. It is an extremely private spot free from other campers or busy traffic. This site now includes a picnic table on a leveled area, a firepit and a toilet . Water is available if you wish to hike a bit up a hill. You can enjoy our beautiful evening skies, sunrises and starlit nights. If you are looking for a peaceful, poison oak free, quiet hideaway, this is your place. Trails are available for walks and taking in the views of the valley below. Since this site is tucked away in our pasture we recommend that campers arrive before dark. We are located near Lake San Antonio, Lake Nacimiento, San Antonio Mission, San Miguel Mission, Fort Hunter Liggett, and the Nacitone Museum. There is local wine tasting and we are 45 minutes away from wine tasting in Paso Robles. Many campers find this to be an ideal meeting place for family and friends coming from the north and south.

Peaceful retreat in nature
We had a wonderful stay at this secluded spot with our two dogs. The host made ensure we had everything we needed. Allowing our dogs to roam off-leash was a big bonus. The area's beautiful dark sky also gave me the chance to capture some stunning deep sky photos. We highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful, relaxing getaway in nature. We will definitely be returning.

Super nice Host and the directions were spot on. Stick to the directions, and you won’t get lost! Great location and nice shade.

The site is tucked down behind a knoll, which makes sense because it provides shade and it was very hot during the days. So limited view from the sites, but if you walk up a short incline between the sites, you get up a bit higher and get a great view, so pack some light chairs as it’s the perfect spot for morning coffee or and sunset viewing. Neil and his wife are great hosts, came by each day to check in.

Super Private
We ran late and ended up coming after dark. Still super easy to locate with the posted signs and provided directions! The site was very tidy, and inviting. Would love to come back to stargaze again!

Beautiful sunset
Easy directions to follow to get there. Insanely pretty sunset view and secluded in the mountains. Peace and quiet other than the sound of nature. Good sight to see the stars. Bathrooms were clean. One of my favorite campsites!
