Welcome to Hawk's Nest Tionesta RV & Cabins! Tucked away in spectacular Modoc National Forest at the base of Timber Mountain, Hawk's Nest Tionesta is one of the best kept secrets in the West. You won’t find a better place to enjoy Northern CA cabins and RV & tent camping. Just 15 minutes from Lava Beds Nat'l Monument, we offer some of the best camping in Northern CA. Please do not try to contact us over cell phone. We live in an area with bad cell reception. If you try to reach us by cell phone there is a chance we won’t see your message. When you arrive you must check in at the office first. If there is no one at the office please call the office number posted on the sign.

Historic Northern CA Cabin #3

I had a great time in the cabin. Perfect spot as I broke up my travels from Oregon to California and back. Cozy, quiet and clean! Will definitely come back if I do this type of drive again.

Site 1 - Hawk's Nest Tent Sites

Very quite and well maintained

We really liked staying here, the host was amazing and opened the little store for us so we could get ice, they have very clean bathrooms with showers which we definitely needed after hiking around in the caves all day. We will definitely be coming back 🙂

We booked this very last minute. Tent sites were great! Bathroom was great. We would have stayed here on our way back what it been on the way.

Historic Northern CA Cabin #7

We didn’t get to stay as long as we would have liked because we were traveling to see family, but our cabin was clean and spacious. The campground was quiet and well maintained. Pam was kind enough to accommodate our late arrival and was very responsive by messaging. I would definitely stay here again.

Hawk's Nest RV 8

New campground, improvements needed

This is a fledgling camp area and it has potential. The owners were very nice and helpful. It wasn’t the uncleanliness of the bath (there is one there) and unkempt grounds that ran us off early. It was the mosquitos! They were so bad even a good smokey fire did not keep them at bay, a few were injected every time you opened your mouth. Not sure what could be done with that!! We want to thank them for having us and wish them success!!!!

Site 1 - Hawk's Nest Tent Sites

My son and I had a wonderful time and a good nights rest on during our stay. Having shower during a road trip is a plus. The host was extremely accommodating and helpful. We felt safe and saw the stars. The campground was quiet and clean.
