Founded in 2013, First Generation Farmers is a nonprofit community farm. We train people of all ages to become farmers and host about a dozen guests at a time from all over the world through the Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) program. We offer our food at local farmers’ markets through a ‘pay what you can, take what you need’ model, providing access to high-quality food for anyone in the community. We also donate our produce to local food banks.

Beautiful spot- recommend watching the sun go down over Mt Diablo across the yellow field of wildflowers. Great people, lots of animals, lots to learn!

First Generation Farmers Non Profit Community Farm Camp
The place is great, owners very friendly. The farm is beautiful, we walked around, stayed near the animals, the grapes. It is all about communal living, an amazing learning experience on how the future will look like

First Generation Farmers Non Profit Community Farm Camp
It was great. And the pool was a plus. Wonderful to meet the WWOOFERS and to explore the animals. Downside was a kitchen that lacked any equipment. Not even a spoon... this was a shame since we were planning on cooking.

Had a small birthday gathering and we had a wonderful time. We got a tour of the farm and fell in love with the goats. Nice folks and was fun to wander and explore the vineyard. Be sure to buy some eggs, honey and the best jarred asparagus ever that they grow and pickle on the farm. Nice bathroom, didn't try showers. As others noted, bring eat plugs if you are a light sleeper because you do hear road sounds at night. Also there is a very bright light further away in the parking lot which makes it easier to see your way to the bathroom at night but doesn't allow for star gazing right there so wander off a bit if you want to lay on your back and look at the stars. Fire pit was nice.
