This 150 acre slice of heaven contains an isolated private ephemeral stream that has run the last two years from January to July. Located down a narrow bumpy dirt road off of Highway 94 Dutchman Canyon is at 1300 feet above sea level, The temperature in Dulzura remains nice year round. There are many Oaks, Sycamores, Eucylptus, Pepper and Pine Trees on the property. The fire road has been cleared to the top of the grade and a slight ocean view is available down the Otay Valley Road view line for hikers or mountain bike enthusiasts. A hiking trail has also been cleared to a stand of Eucylptus trees on the hillside with a pond area at their base on the west facing slope. The Dulzura winery is located across the valley and we are only 1/8 mile from the General Store of Dulzura. The Tecate Border crossing to Mexico is 10 miles south of the property. Located a few miles west of Deer Valley we have deer in the canyon year round looking for fresh water from the ephemeral stream. A 19th century concrete cistern holds water year round at one location in the stream bed.

North Creek Corral Camp With Tents
This is a really amazing place! The views of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous, especially at sunset, when the whole place has a red glow. It's super peaceful and far away from everything, and you truly feel like you're in your own little oasis. I highly recommend this campsite!

South Creek Car Camp With Tent
Phillip’s campsite was a nice retreat, offering a secluded spot with ample shade near the valley. Although nearby water was dried up during our visit. Phillip generously gave us 3 gallons of water to wash hands and dishes. Philip was extremely helpful and nice. The short sunset hike was a highlight, showcasing a view of the vast hills and mountains.

Would come back
Had the back camp sites all to ourselves for the privacy thanks to host. Couldn’t have been happier. He’s not kidding though, you need some decent 4x4 capability to get back there. Host was very helpful and even offered to let us stay an additional day.

Ranchers Hillside With Tents
Phillip was an awesome host. He showed me to my site, brought me potable water, and gave me a breakdown of the area with some interesting history. He was also flexible as my date changed and he accommodated it with no issues. I would recommend this campsite to anyone who likes to camp in a quiet wildernessness setting (wilderness is the key...150 acres of it). I believe there are 6 sites to choose from. Most have shade trees and at least one does not so bring shade if you choose the Ranchers Hillsite. All in all, a great camp.

North Creek Car Camp With Tent
July 4th get away.
We had the pleasure of staying at the camping place in Phillips, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the host greeted us with a warm smile and ensured that all our needs were met throughout our stay The campsite itself was a hidden gem. Nestled amidst nature's beauty, it provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The abundance of shade and the presence of a table allowed us to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. The seclusion of the campsite added an extra touch of tranquility, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the peacefulness of the area. The views from the campsite were simply breathtaking. One of the highlights of my stay was the proximity to San Diego. With the city being only 40 minutes away, We took the opportunity to visit the beach and soak up some sun. However, what made my experience truly special was the ability to return to the campsite afterwards.

North Creek Car Camp With Tent
This area was so gorgeous! There was only one other group there and it felt super secluded and quiet. Phillip was super accessible and happy to show us around and point us up to a beautiful sunset hike and the pond. The pond was a little dried out when we visited as it was the summer when we visited, but there was a lake not too far away that we were able to sit by on the way out.
