A Place to Camp
A lovely coastal stay
What a wonderful, peaceful spot to lay your head for the evening. This property was so eclectic and had everything one would need to be comfortable. I was immediately greeted by two of the most darling kittens as soon as I drove up. The host was very kind and I felt safe staying there. It’s a tiny walk to the beach…and I highly recommend watching sunset there! I definitely would love to return to this spot soon. Thank you!

A Place to Camp
Great little spot when you don’t want to be stuck with the masses at a camp ground. Walking to the deserted beach for sunset was a highlight and the creek serves as the perfect soundtrack at night. Loved being able to enjoy a fire, we had a great time!

Rustic Big Sur Getaway
This is an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the beauty of Big Sur. When we arrived, we found a charming area equipped with a rustic kitchen, sink, and waste/recycling station. The campsites are cozy and situated near a stream that flows through the grounds, offering plenty of pools to splash in and freshen up. The short walk along the river to the beach is scenic and rewarding, leading to a rocky shoreline that's well worth the short journey. This spot is remote, but there are couple of little places to get the necessities, but I wouldn't count on them!

Redwood Room Gazebo
The private beach after the trail along the road was amazing. The land along the creek was stunning. The redwood gazebo was perfect and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Can’t wait to return!
This was my first time solo camping and I felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. The directions to find the place are clear, and the system seemed pretty casual. I booked a tent site and chose the one close to the creek along the little path from the parking lot. The owners weren’t there when I arrived but casually greeted me when they got back and welcomed me “home”. The communal camp fires, kitchen area, and wooden toilet systems were great- to have filtered water and a hand washing pump in addition to the kitchen sink to clean your dishes made it feel like glamping compared to other more remote camp sites I’ve stayed at. The short hike along and across the creek to the beach was great, though you could also easily drive and park in the Los Padres National Forest Mill Creek lot there if accessibility is an issue. I was glad to have a hiking pole and grippy sandals that I can get wet and spent a lot of time playing around in the rocky creek itself. The moon was just a sliver so the stargazing was amazing at night, and my trip coincided with a beautiful meteor shower! Something I really appreciated about the site was the space between camp sites and discouraging of loud electronic devices and drinking. This makes it a great campsite for enjoying nature in quiet, the sound of the creek and birds and creatures and wind rustling leaves! Other campers were mostly respectful of the rules. All in all, I can’t wait to come back by myself and maybe with one other person.
