For more than a decade, John and Kim looked for a place within Temecula Wine Country that could be their forever home. When they saw this lush, hilltop property with they knew it was right. But what to do with the separate lower area, bordered by a seasonal stream lined by cottonwoods and big leaf maples? Cottonwood Creek Camp was the answer. Located in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country, you'll be minutes away from 50 wineries. Situated down a quiet rural lane, and secluded by lush California pepper trees, your glamping spot is an ideal getaway for wine lovers who prefer to get away from the city hustle. The camp area has seven spots that can be occupied by other glampers, and has a common use firepit with Adirondack chairs for those who want to compare notes about their wine tasting adventures. Plenty of onsite parking. In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50 nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation. You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. Visiting dogs that socialize well with other dogs are welcome by us and by Molly and Taz as well, but please be honest with yourself and us about your dog's temperament, and book elsewhere if there is ANY chance of canine conflict with our very energetic pups. Also, Molly does not trust very small children (we think there was an incident), so if you have small children, we ask that you keep them from interacting with our Heelers.

My husband and I spent 3 nights. It was amazing, clean, quiet, and relaxing. John responded to our questions quickly. Loved that there was WiFi available. Camp was right in the middle of the wineries and town. Also, loved the full hookups. I definitely recommend this Hipcamp.

A wonderful campsite!

We totally loved staying at John's Hipcamp. We spent the weekend while visiting family in Temecula, and would certainly love to return next time we're in the area. The location is ideal - close to town, yet remote, quiet, and there's plenty of space for your trailer and vehicle. There weren't any other campers around this weekend, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. We took a spot underneath two large cottonwood trees so we had shade most of the day and the trailer stayed cool despite the August heat. Best of all - there were no glaring street lights to shine into your RV window all night, and no neighbors 5 feet away from you. The internet was super fast and I was able to easily participate in a zoom meeting. The whole camp site is clean and orderly, and has a very comfortable and safe feel. Having full hookups in a remote spot was amazing. And camping here gave us an opportunity to walk our dogs between vineyards we passed on the neighboring roads - we never would have had the time to explore this area otherwise. An absolutely wonderful place to stay, highly recommend it!

Wine Country Airstream Glamping

Tea for two me and you Air-streame

My friend and I had a lovely time here! I would book a stay here again soon! It was a perfect space for two people. It was close to everything fun! I wish we brought a fire stick to play a little movie at night. It was nice to disconnect since there is no wifi. We took suggestions from the host and went on a hot air balloon ride with The Grape Scape company. Visited the petting zoo and chocolate place. Stopped at Maurice Car'rie Winery & Vineyards for a soughdough Brie bred bowl and spend the day out of the sun at the beautiful Vitagliano Winery! Highly recommended! It’s so beautiful! Had a delicious dinner at Eroupa Village Bolaro resturant. I’ll be back soon! Vitagliano Winery

John's spot was really cool. Its on a very quiet street (at night you only hear a car every 10 or 15 minutes), but not too far from the town. The hookups were good. The wifi was fast. Some of the sites had really nice shade as well. Its a little hard to find if you're not careful. Keep an eye out for the small sign and gate!

Wine country retreat

Loved the full hookups. The sites are well engineered with a lot of surrounding foliage. Our spot was nicely shaded. It was quiet with the exception of birds and bunnies. It is near a road so you will hear the occasional car. We barely noticed. John was friendly and supportive. The campsites are in the middle of wine country, but 10-15 minutes from anything you’ll need in Temecula and 26 miles from San Diego.
