Tent/RV Site 2
Fun spot for chilling, soaking in the river, cooking, etc. If you're looking to relax and stargaze and not do much, this is the place!

Tent/RV Site 1
Nice little getaway from Sacramento. Very close to home so we didn’t have to drive too far out. Great host, answered all the questions that I had. Would definitely come back.

Tent Site 6
We really enjoyed our time camping here for two nights. Clean and well maintained campsites. All of the information for our stay well very clearly articulated by the host. Sadly we weren’t able to have a campfire at this time due to fire restrictions. Be sure to check prior to booking if there is a restriction in place.

Cabin #1
Rest and Relax Amongst the Chickens
Loved it! I love how the two cabins are separated from the campers below.Short walk to the creek and it has its own little trail. I would say cabin 1 is cuter but cabin two is more rustic. Both have their charm. The bed was moderately comfortable....better than camping! Fine by me. But if something really Nice and soft is important to you then this could be a consideration.
Bring your own role of T.P just in case. There was not much in there when I arrived and I had to rob another outhouse or some in the middle of the night.
Was greeted by chickens and they were the ICING ON THE CAKE for me. There are so many and they literally ran up to me. I would def return!!! I even jumped on the trampoline! Loved the little table and chairs for reading and sitting. It went by two fast and wish I had booked 2 nights :) I did go down wrong road off ANT HILL, so just keep going straight longer than you think! ENJOY this treasure of a place! Thank you owners for sharing with the public!!! LOVED.

Tent Site 5
Not worth $110 per night.
All other camping spots close to Apple Hill area was either closed for the season or booked, so we were desperate and decided to book this spot.
- Campsite was very dusty
- Toilets/water were a ways up a hill (which was difficult with a 3 and 5 year old)
- Property not well maintained
- Campsite were close together
- No fire rings (which makes since they are in a very fire prone area)
- Quite hours were not respected
- Trash had to be packed-out
All-in-all we had a blast, but the site is maybe worth $40 a night tops.

Tent site 3
A little slice of heaven!
Campsite 3 at Somerset Camp was such a delight. It was large enough to pitch an 8 person tent w/porch and 2 person shade tent with room to spare (another 8 person tent could have easily been accommodated on this relatively flat site). The two rustic tables were a nice spot to make a camp kitchen. I would recommend bringing a folding table to use for eating and games, etc. The walk to the river was about 3 minutes and about 5 to swimming hole. The restroom was nearby and nicely kept. At Campsite 3 you'll fall asleep to the babble of the river and wake to the crows of chickens. :-) Noleen and her family were welcoming and very communicative. My kids are already decided camping in Somerset will be a tradition.
