Clear Creek Ranch is a sparkling gem, nestled in a rugged canyon in the Shasta Region. Upon entering the property, you are greeted by crystal clear rocky mountain creeks, expansive meadows, and pine speckled trails. There's miles of trails to bike, deep pools of blue water to float, and rushing waterfalls. It truly is an opportunity to have your own piece of paradise for the night (or two)! This is a solitary experience that is far from the maddening crowd. Much of this property is on the Kutras Ranch, and legend has it, the property was actually won in game of dice! It has protected behind locked gates since the gold rush, and opened for the exclusive use of The Fly Shop (pretty much the coolest fly fishing shop in the nation) in 1989.

Sasquatch Meadows — Tent Only

The first thing we did when we got cell phone reception was to book another trip to Sasquatch Meadows. It was beautiful, with great swimming and lots of great outdoors!

Sasquatch Meadows — Tent Only

Sasquatch Meadow and Clear Creek is an absolutely stunning place to relax and unwind. I would highly recommend this camp spot if you like tranquil, simple and private camping. It’s a trek to get there and I think that’s what makes it so special. Best to arrive before dark. The flush toilet was a nice bonus amenity. We really enjoyed walking the dirt roads in the mornings, then spending the rest of the day in and around the water. The swimming hole is just perfect! Don’t forget to take the short walk to Upper Falls! We already booked our next trip!

Upper Falls

Upper falls is beautiful and private. The mosquitoes are really bad. Bring bug repellent.

Upper Falls

This was our second stay at Upper Falls camp. Our group loved swimming and relaxing on floaties at the waterfalls. The water was the perfect temperature and crystal clear. The new propane fire pit and canvas tent doors were great additions to the camp, too!

Upper Falls

This was our second visit to Clear Creek Ranch! We last visited three years ago and the experience was just as (if not more) amazing as the last visit. The provided canvas tent, sleeping cots, picnic table, flush toilet, and new gas firepit made for an easy stay. We spent the mornings and evenings floating in the creek under the waterfall and explored Lassen National Park during the day. Already looking forward to coming back for a third stay!

Sasquatch Meadows — Tent Only

All three families and our dogs had a great time at Sasquatch Meadows. We rented both sites to accommodate our large group, 6 adults and 10 kids. The swimming hole next to the camp is amazing offers lots of opportunities to explore. We had a fantastic time playing in waterfall at the upper falls camping area, about a 20 minute walk from the Meadows. The mosquitoes are gnarly so definitely bring bug spray.
