Thank you for stopping by! We have a 5 acre property surrounded by other larger parcels in the rolling Sierra Nevada foothills. There is a huge meadow that explodes with wildflowers, and a lovely mixture of trees. The Yuba River is a short drive away with hiking and swimming. The charming little towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley are about 15 minutes away with shopping and activities. Penn Valley and the nearest big grocery store are only about 5 minutes away. There's a strong Western flavor in these parts with tons of equestrian activities, rodeos, and old town hospitality. There are lots of eateries, disc golf, bicycle trails, not to mention Lake Tahoe and nearby skiing! It's a very peaceful, relaxing little hobby farm out here.Pitch your tent behind the tree line, or park your camper van by the field with views of the rolling hills. The tent camping is a 3-minute walk from the main house so you'll have complete privacy. This is a very gentle terrain, easily accessible. We are in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada near Nevada City, so there's a rich history of gold mining with fantastic museums. Everybody loves Bridgeport on the Yuba River, about 15 minutes away. The nearby Penn Valley has a western "cowboy" culture. White water rafting on the American River is in the nearby Auburn area. You are close to the Plumas wild country, Truckee, Tahoe, rivers, lakes, and mountains, while also being close to Sacramento and even San Francisco for the city life.
