Our 120 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Magic!!
One of the best hipcamps we have ever been to, this place is magical!!! If you’re wondering if Nora and Scott’s campground is worth the drive, believe us it is. We loved pizza night, the pond, the swimming hole, the hot springs, the animals, the facilities, the land - everything was amazing. Scott and Nora are the best hosts, you can really feel the love and care they put into this place. The communal kitchen and powwow area was a great way to meet other campers, there was a real sense of community while still being able to do your own thing. The facilities were very clean and well stocked. Our campsite (#5) had picnic table, fire pit and plenty of shade. We will definitely be back!!!

The beautiful camp that has it all
Great spot! We were a bit concerned on the drive up. It's a remote area and the roads as we got closer were rough. However, it is worth the drive. Once we arrived, we were able to enjoy beautiful views, awesome stargazing, great swimming, sweet animals to pet and a clean bathroom & shower. The kitchen area was very useful. We didn't think we would use it, but it was so handy that we ended up using it for all our meals. We stayed in a tent site by the river, because that's what we enjoy, but there are options for people who prefer to sleep in a regular bed with air conditioning while they camp. Most importantly, the host was friendly, kind and informative. It was all we were hoping for and more. We'll be back next year (and we won't bother bringing our camp stove and pots/pans next time) !
