Campsite #6 - Camp Near Pinnacles National Park
Wonderul
We loved staying at the ranch campsite. The huge property is so tranquil, the farm animals were very exciting for our toddlers, and the Borlands treat you like family. We enjoyed seeing a bandage change for a little kitten, feeding the bunnies, and collecting chicken eggs. My friend also enjoyed horse riding. The campsite had everything we needed (and more!) for a one-night stay. It was better than camping at the full (and dull) Pinnacles NP campsite while also allowing easy access to the park. We'll definitely come back!

Campsite #3
Great for night sky viewing! The campsites are closer to each other with not much shade and privacy (except 6) but it didn't bother too much as you could walk around the huge farm if you like to go away from other campers.

Glamping Tent #2
Awesome facilities, amazing location, wonderful hosts. Could not believe how friendly the owners were and how much they let our little kids “help” with the animal feeding every day. The only thing I’d recommend is to bring a LOT of your own shade and/or plan to be out and about most of the afternoon. The sun is brutal and relentless until it gets behind the wall of the canyon. That said, once the shade does come back, the place is amazing and we had so much fun by the fire the rest of the night. Highly recommend and we will be back!

The Best Cowboy Camping Around!
We had a wonderful time tent camping at Bar SZ Ranch. The property is conveniently close to Pinnacle Nation Park for day hiking, there are many thoughtful amenities and the orchestra of animal sounds is enjoyable to fall asleep and wake up to. We highly recommend visiting this hidden gem.

Campsite #1
We were camping here to see / shoot the perseid meteor shower. We were in site #1. The campsites are basically one beside the other - but we were the only ones camping in a tent. There was one other group camping in a van in the farthest camp spot - so they didn't really bother us. There weren't any dedicated firepits for each campsite, but they did have a common firepit in the common area. The common area was very well lit, and equipped with almost every household appliance (microwave, toaster, oven, coffee machine to name a few), a kitchen sink (with hand wash and dish soap), hand towels and many tables / chairs. We did put the camp fire at the common area, and also met the other group that were camping in the camper van, and shared some words over smores. I definitely recommend this place, and we'd love to be back again sometime.
