#6 Tent Camping along Creek
The place is really fun. Greg was an awesome host and there's a ton to do from swimming, fishing, hiking. The camping is great, as is the "glamping". Clear facilities too. Highly recommend.

#3B Bell Tent on Creek
We spent a long weekend here with my family of 4 and three other families. I had the 3B campsite and it was amazing. The bell tent was plenty spacious for my family of 4. Right off the banks of the creek—my 10 and 7 year old children had a fantastic time. They didn’t ask for an iPad the whole weekend!
The facilities were clean and well maintained. Plenty of outdoor activities, fishing, playground, pickleball, volleyball, and soccer kept us busy all weekend. Our children particularly loved swimming in the river and trying to catch crawfish!
Greg was a fantastic host, always around when you needed him and the favorite among our kids as he was keeper of the ice cream.
If you’ve never been to this campsite, I recommend adding it to your list!

#12 Tent Camping on Creek
Perfect spot to go with little ones
We stayed on campground #12. It was a beautiful spot, shady and next to the creek. Greg was a great host, he communicates clearly and was there when we arrived to give us a rundown of the basic rules. We had the most amazing time, especially during the communal camp fire. We would go back in a heartbeat!

#1 Glamping Safari Tent on Creek
We had a wonderful time at the camp! Kids loved the variety of things to do and the facilities were clean. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the community of campers made for fun socializing. Would absolutely visit again!

#17 Large Group site on Creek
Terrible Experience at Nauvoo Camps
I had a very disappointing stay at the Nauvoo Campsite. The host was incredibly rude and unwelcoming, making the entire experience unpleasant from the start. The campsite has an overwhelming number of rules that made it feel more like a strict boarding school than a place to relax and enjoy nature.
On top of that, the campsite itself was in poor condition—nothing like what was advertised. The facilities were subpar, and the overall environment was far from what you’d expect for the price they charge. Speaking of which, the rates are exorbitant for what you actually get.
I would not recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable outdoor experience. Save your money and go somewhere else where you’ll be treated with respect and can actually enjoy your time.
