Completely private 19 acres to explore while only being 10 min from downtown Los Gatos (FYI has great cell reception). We have a small cabin that has a mattress that sleeps 2 and a futon below for 1. Also plenty of flat empty land to pitch tents. There is a compost toilet and an outdoor shower with running hot water. There is plenty of room to explore, half of the property is pretty dense wilderness but the main half has hammocks, slack line, fire pit, bbq, tables, etc. *FYI due to the steep driveway (see pic) the property is only accessible by AWD or 4-wheel drive SUV or truck; cars, vans, or RVs will not be able to make it (if you are not sure please ask before booking). We have an awesome cabin that sleeps 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs on the futon (and potentially 1-2 more on the floor if needed). On top of that there is plenty of open space to pitch a tent anywhere you would like. We have a beautiful tiled floor outhouse that has a compost toilet, running sink water (non-potable) and a separate shower area with running hot water. The place is great for a couple or a large group as its is completely private, you can park many SUV/trucks and pitch many tents on the property. There are some trails and some things to explore on the property too. We are only 10 min from downtown Los Gatos, 10 min from the reservoir and close to many hiking and biking trails. Things to keep in mind: you need a 4 wheel drive or AWD SUV/truck to drive up the driveway, do not attempt in a car, van or RV (if you are not sure please check with me), only access the driveway after turning around above the property (access only coming down the mountain). There is poison oak so be aware and we recommend long pants for hiking on the property. The water comes from rain barrels that we refill from our well, so it is not limitless (please conserve), the water is non-drinkable (probably fine if you are boiling it). There is also no street parking, the nearest spot is at the bottom of the mountain (2 miles away), so if you have a large party or visitors make sure someone has a 4 wheel drive SUV to drive them onto the property as it is to far to walk.

Camp Jaron
Camp Jaron is a great place to stay - there's a ton of space to walk around, fun activities like ziplining and the slack line, and our dog had plenty of space to run around. The cabin also had everything one would need. We'd definitely come back here in the future!

Absolute gem of a place! You do need the awd to get up the driveway, it is that steep (one of our vehicles did not make it). Communication was seamless and everything was as described. We stayed during an extreme heatwave and found the campsite being tolerable because of the shade and lots of space. Hammocks were great! Tiny (and hopefully not hard) thing to improve would be leveling the tables and grill a bit, everything else was nearly perfect!

Best camping trip so far.
I really loved and my family enjoyed this place. The view was amazing. My dogs were so happy being wild and free. The host has your back on every little detail and he makes sure you understand everything about the site. It was an adventure with the truck going up in the entrance. A lot of space for us to relax and we really had a good time. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. Night was quiet and we didn't see any wild animals. There is plenty of shade

We had a wonderful time staying here. Accommodations were as described/pictured - perfect for 2-3 people inside. Plenty of room for tents but we chose to squeeze a 4th person inside. Kids could not get enough of the swings/hammocks/zip line. We all enjoyed relaxing by the campfire.

Attention to the Details!
I had a great experience at this campsite! It has all the amenities you'd want and need. It was very well thought out and I appreciate the attention to the details. 1. Solar lights illuminating the steps to the bathroom 2. Solar Panel connected to a Power Station with all the different cables to recharge your devices. 3. Extra towels, bottled water, disinfectants, tables, chairs, the list goes on! 4. Pre-chopped firewood (maybe I got lucky?) Stacked & Available 5. Outdoor shower with a view. It was a hose connected to a water pump for water pressure and a heater (via propane tank) for hot water. It was pretty legit! I appreciated the extra horizontal piece of 2x4 in the outdoor shower where we can place our soap/shampoo - and the hook at the end of the shower to hang my towel. This was a great set up. The only minor downsides were the initial hill to get up to the site & the bathroom. The hill is steep, but short. Nothing my 4th gen 4Runner couldn't handle. And the compost bathroom was a little mehhh but manageable. One of the more sanitary compost toilets we've used. For an off the grid bathroom, it's probably as good/clean as it gets. Honestly not that big of a deal. I liked that this site wasn't far from town and campfires were allowed. This place had plenty of flat ground for tent camping, huge trees for plenty of shade, we had more space than we could ever use, I loved it! It was very secluded, we didn't see or hear anyone which is what I want from my campsite! 10/10
