Welcome to our one-acre Redwood grove, complete with a seasonal creek. With both level and hilly areas, we offer one platform tent (with more on the way), a spacious Picnic Pavilion, and numerous spots for pitching a tent beneath the majestic Redwoods. If weather gets rough, consider Creekside Cottage #4, an enchanting studio apartment with modern bathroom/shower, kitchenette. 14 minutes away on Zayante Creek. Explore the many unspoiled creeks in the area, perfect for hiking enthusiasts. Additionally, the Santa Cruz beach and Boardwalk are just 6 miles south, offering endless seaside entertainment. Please note, our site holds historical significance as it borders the CZU fire burn scar. Big Basin is a mere 4 miles away, while the historic Brookdale Lodge is just 1 mile from our location.

Tall Grove Tent #1
Ruffin' it in the redwoods
Scott is very responsive in communications. thank you, Scott! My experience: I booked tent site #1. The site has an interesting foundation for the area to set up a tent. It's a couple of tables places on uneven ground. My four person (relatively small) tent did not fit on the foundation. I tried to remove the tables, only to discover the ground underneath was so uneven I could not set a tent up on it. If you have a two person, you *might* fit on the foundation. If you're going to sleep in a hammock, this would likely work in campsite #1! The first night we ended up moving over to campsite #2, which is more spacious, and was comfortable for the night. We didn't end up staying the second night, because there was no cell service, it was very dark at night (bring lanterns!), and we didn't have creek access as expected. All that being said, if you're okay "roughing it" a bit, I would recommend this spot as a budget campsite near to Santa Cruz.

Great communication
Because of an unforeseen change of plans we were not able to make it and had to cancel or stay. Communication with Scott was great throughout, he even got in touch before our stay to introduce himself and to provide us with a map on how to get there. When we couldn't make it he As very understanding, communicated with us rapidly and offered us a refund. Thank you Scott.

Cozy Grove for Weekend Travels
We loved tent camping on Scott's property. Our space was the perfect cozy nook for our weekend getaway - my partner and I enjoyed being underneath the tall redwoods; we came in from Big Sur and were elated to be camping so close to Big Basin State Park, our next destination. Scott is proactive + friendly, would book again!!

Brook Camp #2
nice trees weird spot
tucked away off the main road, peaceful woods. seemed a little sketchy at first, bathroom was not what it portrayed and construction type wood and work everywhere made some parts of the property feel really unsafe. overall for one night it was fine. wouldn’t have stayed longer so i’m glad we didn’t.

Avoid
No clear directions, on a steep bad road uphill somewhere, we didn't find it. Locals tell you to watch out as the neighbors are dealing in drugs and better to be avoided. Limited information provided and almost no contact. We decided to go somewhere else... Avoid would be my advice..
