Site 1 - Dry Camping
Quiet, private and safe
Good campsite-flat ground for tent camping, there is a spigot for water and clean porta potty. It’s quiet and safe, something that is helpful for solo travelers. It is next to a road, but very low traffic at night. There are barking dogs and coyotes out and about, and ear plugs are a good idea but not essential. Dark sky offers nice stargazing. Close to wineries, sensorio exhibit, and downtown Paso. I was the only guest for the 3 nights since it’s a bit of the low season, but enough space to share with others without feeling crowded. Hosts are helpful and communicative and helped stake my tent when it started to blow away while I was gone. Great experience, would book again.

Good for a camper van.
We had a camper van, and it worked great as a place to stay for a concert at Vina Robles. It's pretty basic, and cheap, and the host helped us understand the back route into the Vina Robles Ampitheater.

Great for exploring SLO county.
Spacious with plenty of room to maneuver your trailer with huge oaks to sit under and cool your afternoons.

Nice spot, close to Paso but still far enough that you feel out in the country. Good view of the stars! Communication was so easy and friendly. Two other camping parties were at the ranch the same evening but we didn’t feel crowded at all. Plenty of space.

Quite place to camp
I enjoyed staying one night at the Broken Branch Creek, located just a couple minutes south of Hwy 46. Host met me at the site and showed me around. I had no problem driving in with my truck and race trailer.
Camping area is located just off the main road, on flat ground with large trees. The sites are close together, but each one has a picnic table and there is running water available just steps away. Sandbox and toys for kids in the shared space.
Very quiet at night, and dark skies allow great views of the starts. Just minutes from lots of wineries and "downtown" Paso Robles. Would definitely come back!
