Black Mountain Tent Camping
Beautiful property with a stunning view overlooking the Nicasio reservoir next to your own private pond. Very friendly hosts. Highly recommended.

Black Mountain Tent Camping
Black Mountain camping was awesome! Marnie was a great host. We arrived just before sunset and we decided to camp right by the pond overlooking the reservoir. Waking up in the morning we had a beautiful view! Marnie showed us around the farm in the morning and even let us hold the newest member of the farm - a 2 week old lamb! I also recommend hiking up black mountain if you have time. It was only 1.5 hours round trip and from the top you can see Tomales point. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Black Mountain Tent Camping
We had a fantastic weekend at Black Mountain Farm. We arrived by bicycle from Sausalito. The views were absolutely amazing and we enjoyed watching the sheep, horses and turkeys on the farm. Marnie was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There's a nice fire pit right on the side of the pond so we cooked over the campfire. This is truly a magical spot and we enjoyed every minute at the farm.

Black Mountain Tent Camping
This place was absolutely wonderful! Campers can expect a good deal of space for a few tents to spread out around the toad filled pond!
Prepare to go hiking, you'll want to see the top of the mountain where the entire reservoir and rolling hills of Marin county are visible. Its a gorgeous view!
Marnie is such a great host, she welcomed us with open arms and made it so easy to arrive and stay on her property. She gave us the grand tour of her farm during the day where we got to pet all the fluffy rabbits, goats, and her beautiful horse - properly named Indiana Jones! I'd highly recommend asking for a quick tour of the farm, you'll learn how Marnie spins the fabric made the farm animals. Bring cash because you'll be able to buy the most comfortable wool + angola rabbit fur hats you've ever worn!
Included in the price of your stay is having the lovable family dog, Ruby, by your side the entire time. This Golden just gives love to everyone she comes in contact with.
The family house is very close to the farm, but don't expect to use anything in the house. You'll have a composting toilet near the pond. This makes it fun for an experienced camper to enjoy all of their equipment and to assure safety to friends who might be scared to camp or ever leave the city. We had one of those and this place was perfect to put his toe in the water.
Try to get here early, time flew by for us!
