Come stay in our cozy little cabin tucked in an alder forest. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Arcata, it’s like being in the middle of the woods, right in town. This is a quiet neighborhood and is bike-friendly for getting around town. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on places to eat, get a drink, or find an adventure in Arcata and surrounding areas. We are located less than 40 minutes from Redwood National and State Parks where you can find incredible hiking trails!Come stay in our cozy little cabin tucked in an alder forest. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Arcata, it’s like being in the middle of the woods, right in town. This is a quiet neighborhood and is bike-friendly for getting around town. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on places to eat, get a drink, or find an adventure in Arcata. *The cabin is a short walk from the parking spot. There is a full size bed, but we do NOT provide linens or bedding so please bring your own. There is a blanket for chilly nights. It can get cold at night so please plan accordingly. There are lights and electricity in cabin. Please keep in mind this is a camping experience and while the cabin provides shelter, it is rustic. *Feel free to explore the garden/orchard/greenhouse area (through the small gate by the cabin), just be sure to close the gate behind you to keep the deer out. *As noted, there are an abundance of banana slugs during some times of the year. They are harmless and sometime a little too friendly. Feel free to gently relocate them from around the cabin if needed. *Fall 2024 Note: We are constructing a new house near the cabin at this time. There may be construction noise during the daytime (9am-5pm) some days of the week.

Bayside Cabin

We loved our stay at Bayside Cabin! It was our first stop on our coastline roadtrip, and it was magical. It was rainy during our stay, so the hot water in the shower and the fire stove inside were perfect to stay warm and cozy. We went to Bayside Farmstead Cafe for breakfast just down the road as per Ted and Emily’s recommendation, and it was absolutely delicious and so cute. We were sad to leave and loved our time here! Would definitely recommend. 🌲✨🌼

Bayside Cabin

Nothing better you could ask for at this cabin! Ted and Emily made everything so comfortable and accommodating. The location was perfectly central to everything we wanted to see around us, and close enough to town for groceries and food! We hope we can make it back here someday.

Super cozy and beautiful space to spend. Bed is a full so will be tight for couples but the space is really intentionally organized and cozy. Outdoor shower is real nice 👍🏽

Absolutely cozy and adorable. I loved staying at Ted and Emily’s beautiful cabin and would definitely recommend and stay again. Wish I could have stayed longer. What a gem.

This was my first time using Hipcamp and it was such a good experience. The cabin was the perfect place to stay while exploring Arcata. The outdoor shower was especially wonderful!
