Once an ancient Redwood grove full of mature redwood trees towering 250 feet in the air, This is a beautiful piece of property, very private, with an old growth Redwood snag still remaining and 30 foot diameter re-sprouted Redwood fairy rings. it has its own private entrance. In the redwood forest, lots of trees and other vegetation. Good wildlife watching area. 4 miles from the ocean. Campsites have own access point. Pack it in, pack it out. Please be respectful of neighbors and land around you. 2 sites available - both with potable water, and area for campfires (outside of any burn ban), and toilet access. Firewood available for fee. Pets allowed. Guests love staying here: "This was such a treat. Nathan was a responsive, present host--made sure we had all of the wood we wanted. We were tucked away in the woods with great amenities... bathroom included. There is a beautiful tree on the campsite that made the whole experience magical. And my pup was free to run and around and bring me sticks. I will definitely come back again!"

Sunshine Cabin
Overall our stay was fine but we didn't have much time on the property as we got in late and had to get on the road first thing in the morning. Host was communicative and friendly. The cabin was very small but clean with some nice touches. We didn't feel entirely comfortable having our kid in the loft and it had very low clearance. Definitely elevated from camping but the bathroom and kitchen are pretty rustic. I wouldn't recommend driving to the property after dark. Luckily the host's directions were clear.

Sunset Cabin
Little Cabin in the Woods
We enjoyed staying in the Sunset Cabin. The location is picturesque and secluded. The cabin is minimalist and tidy, and we especially appreciated the space heater at night! Access to the showers/bathrooms was convenient. Overall, a lovely stay in the forest!

Sunset Cabin
Quiet simple cabin in the woods
As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe staying at Nathan's place. Having the toilet and shared kitchen was a huge bonus. The bed in the cabin was comfortable and it was so nice to have electricity - it stays nice and toasty with the floor heater. I will stay here again when I’m in the area!

Sunshine Cabin
Cozy Cabin
The sunshine cabin was perfect for two of us and our dog. The property was so quiet at night to sleep and we were plenty warm with the comforter and heater at night. It was really fun to see the craftsmanship of the cabins! The flushing toilet and shower were an added bonus for camping. The location was perfect! You are close to great food in Mendocino. Highly recommend Patterson’s Pub. We rolled in late and it is one of the few places open late for food. Great food and it has a relaxed outdoor seating area with heaters to enjoy a beer! We cannot thank Nathan enough for sharing his cozy getaway with us! If you are in the area and need a place to stay, consider Baby Banana Slug Farm! And yes, we did see a Banana slug!

Site 2 - Baby Banana Slug Farm
Fairytale forest plus banana slugs
Baby Banana Slug Farm was lovely. So quiet and serene. The other camp site and cabins aren't too far away but you can't see each other. Like being in a fairytale forest complete with banana slugs. Would camp here again.
