Looking for a quick escape from the city for a peaceful place to recharge? AntFarm LA offers a private, quiet retreat in nature where you can disconnect from the buzz of city life with the convenience of the city nearby. Hand-built with love and a couple of shovels by our family and friends, this hike-in, tent-only site is the perfect oasis for locals and visitors alike. As you embark on the short hike up, you will experience breathtaking views, shaded trails, and a sense of calm as you arrive at your campsite. You’ll enjoy stunning sunsets, sunrises, and the tranquil sound of birds chirping—an idyllic backdrop to clear your mind. We’ve thoughtfully added a few comforts so you can enjoy nature without completely leaving modern conveniences behind. Take advantage of amenities like a refrigerator, sink, a bathroom with a flushable toilet, and a shower to refresh after a day of exploring. We also have a few electrical outlets and WiFi if you need to stay connected online or charge your devices. If you want to howl at the moon, we have some more remote hike-in campsites available. Send us a message for details. Out of respect to our neighbors, we do not allow car camping in our parking lot. Car or RV sleeping is permitted on our Van Pad site only, although we do not provide RV hookups. To protect the privacy of others and the exclusivity of the retreat, we ask that you do not disclose the purpose of your stay to anyone outside of AntFarm LA, including surrounding neighbors. You may identify yourself as a guest or a friend, if asked. To preserve the quiet, off-the-grid atmosphere we’ve created, we ask that you respect our noise curfew of 10PM. We look forward to having you stay!

Sunset Terrace
Fantastic getaway within the city
Robin was super accommodating! I got notice of high winds one of the evenings of my stay, and he let me change to a location lower to the ground where I felt more comfortable. He also got me an extension cord to work on my laptop at one of the picnic tables that was closer to my second campsite. I admire Robin’s passion for keeping this campground a nice getaway within the city. The Sunset Terrace has absolutely stunning views! Do bring some good hiking boots though, especially for the hike back down as it can get slippery with the wrong shoes. I would highly recommend any of the campsites (I got to take a peek at most of them!).

Great Stay
I really enjoyed camping out at The Ant Farm! It was an amazing hidden treasure…remote feel so close to the city. I wish I could have spent more time there. Robin was great…met me when I arrived (after dark) and showed me my campsite. I hiked a bit up the hill in the morning, beautiful view!! I plan to come back.

Hilltop Hideaway
Stay at Ant Farm!!
You should definitely stay here. The air on the hillside smells of sage and winderfulness. The campsites all have good shade. The trails around are fun. The host is great!

Patch of Forest
Robin's place is only a short trip from the denser parts of LA, yet perfectly secluded. There are numerous hiking paths, some of which have great views overlooking Tujunga. Great place for anyone looking for a quick escape from LA where you can sleep amongst the trees.

Camping at patch of forest
I loved camping on Robin's land. The campsites felt private and the scenery was nice. Robin is a great host and he gave me some recommendations for things to check out in Tujunga, which were GREAT!

Hilltop Hideaway
Great mountain top camping!
A great spot to escape the buzz of the city yet be close to town. I was at Hilltop hideaways which has an incredible view and tucked back for a private space. Theres nothing quite liking camping on the top of a mountain. The hike to the camp spot is STEEP, short but steep. So just know that going in. If youve got a lot of stuff, youll be making a few trips up and down the mountain. Perfect for backpackers, not so great for those looking for a very easeful camping experience. A great hiking trail right that starts near the parking lot.
